Who has more heart than talent? The answer really is everyone.

It was just 20 months ago when I first heard the phrase, title, term, slogan..’more heart than talent’ What did this mean? I had been given a well earned complimentary ticket to attend this three day conference thing. “Just get to the city and it was mine.” I was told! Certainly not a rookie to conferences and eager to learn, I saddled up and flew down to Dallas-Ft Worth Texas where the who’s who in marketing, businesses opportunity and top leadership training would all be in one room breathing the same rare air. I met the likes of Jerry Clark, Myron Golden, Todd Falcone, and yes the legend himself Jim Rohn was the keynote speaker. I also met the conference host and founder of Golden Mastermind Seminars, Jeffrey Combs but the bonus for me came after the event ended when I met a gentleman that evening in the hotel lobby who has now become my business coach and great friend. We talked for 6 hrs straight until we had to hop on planes the next morning. His name was Cedrick Harris. Unaware at that time, these three days of meetings and especially connecting with Cedrick would prove to be the launching pad for my rise in mindset and ultimate birth of my own online business brand bigWAVEmktg Enterprises

Now you’re probably saying okay so what does that have to do with the title of this blog. Well it has everything to do with it. You see we all have talent in some area of our life. Whether innate or taught. But the truth of the matter is we also all have way more “heart” than that talent we all possess. This epiphany or “ahh-ha” moment started making itself more apparent from my first exposure in Dallas 20 months ago but all the more clearly confirmed just under 1 week ago when I returned from Atlanta GA. You see I had attended a one day MHTT event hosted by none other than my friend, coach and partner Cedrick Harris. It was his debut MHTT event co-hosted with Jeff Combs! Sensational it was indeed. And It’s here at this brief yet powerful forum that I truly got to see how people with more heart than talent help create it in others and how those who want more of it actually get it. The main sessions were stellar, informative and loaded with content but it was in the break out sessions when we all had the chance to mingle and “connect” And connecting is the key to wealth. At lunch, for example with one of the co-creators of MLSP; Norbert Orlewicz shared valuable insight and marketing wisdom; but also his heart for why he and his wife do what they do for their family. Right through the entire day members and partners built their heart muscle with one another. Guys like Mr. Bob Howard from Tampa FL , Mr. Paul Fung of NY, Mr. Yo Le from Harrisburg PA and resident Atlanta native Mr.Adrian Hines, just to name a few. Many of us who had just met for the first time in the flesh shared the how but spoke also of the “why” we infact decided to make the trip; why we are building top level internet businesses. Not to mention the genius strategies gained in the time I spent with incredible master marketer Cedrick Harris. Bottom line: This is how you get more heart. By getting around those who have it and are passion about giving it away. Like the familiar expression says. “How do you catch a cold? – you get around someone who’s got it” Well in this case you’ve got to get around, connect and rub shoulders with those who have talent, yes and boy was there talent –but tons more heart than the talent itself.

I’m glad I’m connecting with giants and powerful partners who have heart. The question is “Are you?” But beyond that question is this one. “Why?” Here’s the answer: because it is the critical leadership life blood we all must have so we can take people to the next level in their ventures, enterprises or chosen industries. I think you’re seeing now why getting more heart than talent is so essential.
