It was really hot today up in Toronto for a change and quite honestly I enjoyed. Compared to what the weather is usually like, I basked in the warmth of the sunshine.
Speaking of sunshine, it reminded me of something I used to do when I was a kid…Have you ever taken a magnifying glass on a hot day and made the edge of a piece of paper start to burn or catch fire?
Maybe some of you even scorched a few bugs like I did LOL
I’m sure we all have.
Well this example illustrates a very powerful lesson. It’s a simple concept and one I want to give you today as it relates to getting greater results in your life, relationships and business. It’s called Unbroken Focus.
Let’s examine this…so what exactly causes the paper to burn? Is it the sun or the magnifying glass?
Neither. It is your focus.
You see it’s focus and specifically ”unbroken focus” that starts the fire! What do I mean? Well, You have the sun’s rays check and you have the the tool ie (the magnifier) check…but without the ability to hold it steady and keep your arm in one place for a few careful minutes, you would never get the paper to burn. The power of the suns rays and best magnifier possible are actually useless without the power of your unbroken, non-distracted attention.
The same hold true in different areas of our lives.
So many people have the tools and have the power, they even have the talent – but little to no focus. They are enthusiastic and full of energy but constantly they fail due to yielding to distractions all around. The solution is easy. Just ignore the distraction. Honestly try it and see.
Where are you today in your focus? Are you attempting to do a thing in your life, finances, career, business or health BUT cannot seem to focus? Are you constantly being distracted and losing your focus. Make a concerted effort and quality decision today to maintain ”UNBROKEN FOCUS” If you’ re doing a thing, stay with. If you’re learning a skill, keep on it. If you’re getting results, don’t change it.
The secret is in the steadiness. The power is in the persistence. The magic is in the maintenance.
By not vacillating every minute, the result you will produce will be so significant compared to others who do. While others are shifting and moving and changing there rhythm, you will have massive success relative to the herds of people who simply do not focus.
Final Thoughts: ”Do a thing and you will have power” ”Observe the masses & do the opposite!” ”Get started, stay steady and don’t quit!” make these your daily mantra and you will out perform all others…
