Why Numis Owners Just Gave All Their Reps a HUGE Pay Raise For 2011

This is my first official blog post of 2011 and man am I excited and after you read it too I know it will excite you as well…GUARANTEED!

We all know it’s a tough economy many people are facing out there today. Last year in 2010 was rough and 2011 for most is no different. On top of that it’s not very often to hear many people getting pay raises and cost of living increases…not to mention network marketing companies doing the same. How can I say this?  Easy…I was told in a private closed door meeting just last week by the three owners themselves why & how they decided to enhance the compensation plan. The bottom line: They wanted  more people in 2011 to do better financially and faster. By earning more money sooner and  by having reps at the earlier and intermediate levels make more money, they can increase their odds of success as they build a career path in our company and the industry all around. The other critical reason is that they never wanted to have to take away money from their reps like many companies over the years have done.

This corporate integrity and commitment on the highest level…especially when they didn’t need to do this. Most companies start off giving away the entire farm and 18-24 months in have to take away and remove the money given to distributors and reps. The complete opposite is what the amazing co-founders have done here with Numis Network Network.

Well as you can imagine I was blown away. The generosity of these first class owners-management team is one that is second to none. Deciding To Be a Leader Vs Remaining A Leader

Are you ready for this one?

Deciding to be a leader is easy but remaining  a leader through thick & thin is extremely hard. This message may rattle a few but it has to be addressed for people to have breakthrough. I perceive huge epidemic happening in our society and it involves people everyday in every strata of life.  Just what is it? The lack of commitment people make to each other is so prevalent hat many of us have become numb to it. People make promises to people and have no plan to even follow through. The bottom line: It’s wrong and it’s time for you if you feel the same  to declare your disdain of this toxic relational phenomena.

The reason so many well meaning business professionals,  network marketing reps and generally aspiring leaders falter is due solely to lack of commitment. No staying power and no long term vision. Whether it’s promising to lose weight, get healthier, start a school course or even improve their relationship etc the challenge is not the goal but the task itself but the integrity behind it all.

So let us look at 5 specific things that can help bring any shaky leader back to true north. What can you do today to stay the leader you’ve decided to be and have committed to your team to remain.

1.Always Remember Your Why? It goes without saying you need to to have a real why (passion) in life and in our industry. Why do you need a why? Simply put…because you’re human and the crappy days will come. There will be days when even you will find it hard to remember why you’re in the game. Like a determined athlete striving for the championship circle or Olympic platform, You may have to recall why you are doing the uncomfortable and many times inconvenient. But if you have a clearly defined why, one that is deep down in your soul, one that even makes you shed tears, then no one included your own self will allow you to falter your commitment to the goal or as a leader.

2. Do NOT Confuse Activity with Accomplishment A lot of well meaning leader/reps who want to be big leaders in their arena unfortunately get side-tracked or distracted by their own doing. How so? They start out focused but get off track by majoring on minors and on the things that keep them from getting closer to their objectives. In the online marketing world for instance, some get so deeply busy learning SEO, traffic generation, lead generation, website optimization, yapping in chat rooms etc etc etc and even  this last one (wait for it) even blogging. Don’t get me wrong all of these things I have listed are in fact effective but they should serve you and not be counter productive. They should put you in place to actually accomplishment. Nothing replaces 1 )recruiting and 2) retailing to create profit. But some never figure this out. Imagine for a second a hamster on a wheel. As fast as it goes and goes and goes…he it never gets anywhere. What’s the moral? Not all motion is progress. Make sure you don’t confuse activity with accomplishment.

3. Read PMA Books Regularly. Reading books is by far the fastest way for any rep to sharpen their network marketing and leadership skills. Authors like Zig Ziglar,John Maxwell, Darren Hardy and Noah St Johns are a few that will enhance your mental growth. A daily reading plan is the fastest way for anyone to exponentially grow past the point where they are. By reading you gain access to time proven formulas from leaders both present and past.Simply put, there is a huge vault full of immense value from those that have gone before us many years ago. What you will learn quickly is the principles are still relevant in today’s business arena. By reading it unlocks that vault for us anytime we choose any time we want. You MUST read to grow yourself. If you cannot read, that is a completely different article topic.

4. Surround Yourself with Positive People If you have the chance, daily, weekly or monthly, at all cost ensure you surround yourself with people who are not only positive but those who can contribute to your overall success and well being. Some one once said “if you can’t CHANGE the people around you, then change the PEOPLE around you. Think of your ears as a receptacle or container. Do you want good stuff in or bad stuff there? You have heard the phrase I’m sure “garbage in, garbage out.”  Positive people not only will uplift you but if they are in your primary company, they should be leading the way for you to achieve much more results. If they are not, then it just may be time re-evaluate just how much time and who you are associating with.

5. Hold Yourself Accountable This final point is one that only you can do. Hold yourself accountable. Accountable to what? To your own word.  Your word as leader is the only thing you rally have and that word shapes your reputation and credibility. Maybe yours isn’t important to you but if you will be that leader you committed to be, it must become essential. Only you or let me say it this way… the person looking back in the mirror is the man or woman that will determine your ultimate success.

There is a expression I learned several years ago and it say this. The 11th Commandment is “thou shalt NOT kid thy self. To remain a leader mean not kidding yourself.

So can you remain a leader even in tough times or when peer pressure looms? YES!  Just commit to being honest and true to yourself. Get a coach or mentor. Keep a log of your progress.  Set achievable goals.  Adjust when necessary and hold yourself to doing whatever you can to hit them in a timely manner. Discipline yourself to your daily routine because at the end of the day that is the only thing you can control, your schedule. Disciplined actions will elevate you more than gifted-ness or talent and that is what it takes to be and stay a committed leader.

As you implement these five things everything will change and the leader in you will emerge. Just try it!

3 Contagious Symptoms That Can Make Your Entire Organization Sick Over The Holiday Season

Well that season is upon us; you know the season I’m referring to..not the holiday season but the sickness one. People sneezing, coughing ,wheezing, drooling and leaking due to many factors.  But more specifically there’s another type of sickness that I’m going to explore and expound  in this blog post. It’s NOT just the one that can ail us physically in our bodies, but the type that can knock your entire organization off it’s productive feet. The kind of negative contagion that can slow and seize the healthy momentum of any rep’s network marketing business.

I call them the “failure diseases” or symptoms of mlm non-success. Let’s examine each of these three dangerous conditions  briefly.

This first is called Excusitis. This is a condition although not unique to holiday time plagues most people most at this festive time of year. Many reps use the time to suggest they cannot do any business at all and their justification is using any and every reason they can come up wit. One such reason is the holiday. What’s very interesting is that  the same reason presents a completely different outlook and result for other reps who see opportunity within this holiday to do the opposite. They don’t take a vacation from their business; Instead they connect, re-connect and can even capitalize on the busiest and biggest spending-buying times of the entire year. Particularly when it comes to business development ie. enrolling this can be a huge time to expand one’s team which reaps great dividends in the months of January, February and March. While everyone is mentally disengaging , you stay engaged and be smart about keeping your business and team progressing. Remember rarely if ever, that people who make excuses hardly ever make big money.

The second non-success symptom is Detailitis. This term suggests exactly the what this person suffering from is actually being crippled by. It is getting bogged down in all the details. They just cannot seem to see the bigger picture of opportunity through the clutter of all the minute things. Things that really don’t amount to any level of  huge consequence. Don’t get me wrong, there are important details in life but this condition is one of excessive compulsion before taking any action. What these people should really do is stop and ask themselves “What do I want to achieve?” or “Where do I want to be by this time next year” By Seeing and grasping the big picture can break most detailitis -induced folks out of that haze long enough to re-focus on what truly matters. Many people often say I’m just “waiting for my ducks to line up” but the reality in nature is ducks don’t line up until they get moving. If a person suffering from detailitis simply starts moving like a duck, they will amaze themselves with the immediate result that will overtake their lives and business. They may start out waddling like a duck but they can eventually learn too soar high  like an eagle.

The final failure disease is Procrastination. We have all heard this term but it is a disease non-the-less. Someone once called it the largest nation on planet earth. Procrasti-”NATION”. This is where those sick with delay upon delay suffer not only from non-action or starting but the loss of potential greatness. You see procrastination is the grave of time and the thief of success robbing many talented people the victory and blessing their action could have in fact produced. The grim reality is this: Every year that goes by with scores of people NOT acting or delaying their action, this forfeits the prosperity and improvement of their future and families quality of life. Because it is easy to do (take action) many times it is easy (NOT TO DO) As a result in like there go many songs that were never sung, books that were never written, blogs never posted, music never penned, even inventions and cures that were never discovered. All due to procrastination…indeed this is one of the most horrible of the three failure disease…

The good news is there is a cure. And the first part of the remedy is acknowledging and admitting one is sick. The second part is getting around healthy upbeat individuals,reps, and leaders. When you do this you will discover that for every sick debilitated rep there are way more healthy, focused and productive reps all around. Full of energy eagerly pursuing their passion and making their dream happen.

Let’s make a commitment this season and make it a healthy one. Let’s declare  to make a real effective change to eliminate all three of these sicknesses so your life, family and business can prosper. Let us build a mental immunity that keeps us protected from thees three failure diseases. After all holiday time is the worst time to be sick …so let’s all say no to Excsusitis, no to Detailitis and no to Procrastination. Let’s prevent ourselves and our businesses from being sick this holiday season!

5 Reasons Why NOT To Be Addicted To MLM Pre-Launches

Are you an mlm junkie? Addicted not to literal drugs but to the “next big mlm Pre-launch” It seems the entire internet is pushing the PL on us…and it’s pulsating with the flavor of the month. You have desperate  people like dealers constantly stalking us in every social play ground trying to sell us some PL.

Here are FIVE  important reason’s not to chase the highly addictive Pre-Launch going on out there and will always go on out there.  While I realize the industry has close to 5000 different companies at any given time, the real success of any opportunity lies not with the “newness” of the company but the stability of the rep that just flat out decides to build it…nothing more nothing less. I have witnessed many pre-launches distract, disengage and derail well meaning reps because they are just refuse to accept this fact. Success in this game comes from within not without. Not following the masses becomes the smartest safest place to be, but many follow blindly the next big pre-launch unadvised. The truly sad part is many reps never recover. They go off a cliff and their dream meets an untimely end.

But I’m writing this post to inform of how to break the addiction once an for all. So the first reason you shouldn’t get sucked into the new shiny pre-launch is…

1. Chance of failure in the first 2-3 years. By not allowing the good seeds of those you sponsor or enroll to germinate, you’re sabotaging your future success. Even a farmer knows that he has to give time for his crops to come up. The seeds he has sown yesterday need time to grow. So changing farms after he has sowed so many seeds is completely illogical and frankly stupid.

2. Sudden or constant changes is a HUGE red flag. When people whether in business or life make erratic or sudden right turns, this can land them in an unexpected accident and usually serious injury. The same holds true for those reps who chase the addictive pre-launch.We see this scenario on the road all the time, don’t we?  Just try driving safely to your destination safely changing the map and the steering wheel every minute—You’re going to crash. Whenever you witness masses of people in constant upheaval or perpetual uprooting of themselves, this is a clear sign that uncertainty, lack of clarity exists. No one can be followed  confidently when these red flags are flying.

3. Your downline could get spooked and jump ship. If you get lured into a flashy, glitzy or gimmicky Pre-launch the other calamitous liability is your team members/reps will lose faith and confidence in your leadership and jump ship.  But not for the sake of just jumping, they’ll jump for the benefit of finding a real bonified leader. One whose word is their bond and one that leads and does what they say they are going to do. What good is an opportunity if all people do is jump ship to the next without ever building? No one would ever succeed. So if you ever enrolled or sponsored a person, what you have done is given that person your word. That word should be carried out and full-filled at all cost.


4. Attracts the worst type of MLM’er.
The law of Attraction says you never get what you want, but who you are. So if you are a person of low integrity and diminishing stability this is exactly the kind of reps and prospects you will attract. Unfortunately and fortunately in Network Marketing, birds of feather do flock together. A rep who jumped to your team will most likely jump from your team to that new deal without a thought.  Low caliber reps that do not build their businesses or lives on principle will see you as a safe haven to pitch tent with you for a minute but ultimately will not commit to doing things right long-term. They”ll be gone faster than they arrived.

5. Your reputation could get permanently damaged. The final point here is this..The only thing we all have when the dust settles is our name. Our reputation is what defines us and will be the hinging point on what people say about us long after we have left a company and long after we have exited this world.  Our name is all we have. People in this industry contrary to popular belief do care who they work with and derive success with. I hope you care about that too.

When looking at any hot new MLM opportunity, to evaluate seriously all the risks involved. If you decide to move forward, do your due diligence and walk into it with both eyes open. Get your facts, check with successful reps withing that company and avoid getting caught up in the hype and do your homework!

So if you can honestly resonate with these 5 reason NOT to get sucked into the hype of the next big pre-launch you’ll be way ahead of the game, you;ll be a true success in the industry and extremely happy that you didn’t.

How To Connect, Hold and Maintain 100% Attention of Your Audience When Presenting

If there was a secret method for maintaining your prospects attention so much so that they are ready to sign up in your opportunity would you want to know what it was? Okay that answer is obvious. Yes, right? Which serious marketer wouldn’t? Sad reality is this: many sincere network marketers that comprise this great industry never will hear what I’m about to share right now.  However, if you pay close attention you will move yourself from the masses into the classes of the top 3% of closers, speakers and 6 figure income earners.

Ready? okay let’s go..

As many of my personal coaches and mentors have said time and time again,“The money is not in the list, it’s in the connection  or relationship with the list!” The same holds true for offline connections and it is this very point I want to expand on here. Whether you are a an online marketer or an offline one, at some point you will have to close the deal. You’ll need to talk with a real live human. You will physically have to share some actual words. (unless you are using a automated dialer and have so much numbers working in your favor, but that’s a whole other blog) Speaking to people becomes very simplified and powerful when you know that there are basically four categories of people in any given setting. Small or large. Knowing how to touch each one in these various styles and specific motivations is the switch key to hitting the jackpot all the time. A literal magic wand of flawless and successful presenting.

#1. we have the MONEY-motivated. #2 FACT- motivated. #3 FUN-motivated and #4 CAUSE-motivated.

Let’s examine each one briefly.

The money motivated ‘Benjamins’ in the crowd are usually the easiest to evoke a response within a  group. Especially in the network marketing arena as the idea of making a high income and creating strong passive income is concerned. This group is focused, determined and tend to be very driven. They wear, speak and drive boldly so if you’re in their way, watch out.  But while they do represent a large cross section, bear in mind that  not everyone is by dollar bills-driven but by knowing how to identify this crowd, will make for a team of dynamic and successful leaders.

The fact- motivated ‘Analyzers’ are bogged down in the details and seldom come up for air unless told there will be another session immediately after the first just to dissect the pay plan further. These numbers folks can build mammoth organization if given the details they’re seeking but  failure to do so will mean no signature on the application any time soon. They require the time to due their due diligence and anything less than this  will short-circuit the deal. Some of the best network marketing giants were incredibly analytical and skeptical but once educated on the facts they are unstoppable.

Ah yes the fun-seeking , happy go-lucky, feel good crew will be the energy of the meeting. With smiles, positive body language and gestures, they will make doing a presentation actually enjoyable. They are your amen corner or positive peanut gallery. Understand you must keep this group entertained and believing that every moment on the journey to success with be a good time for them. They love having fun and if the tempo slows or starts to bore, they will gap out or at worst abandon ship. By keeping this crew engaged, the journey for everyone involved will never be a dull one.

Finally, the cause-wired crowd. These deeply rooted mission seekers are guided by a purpose greater than themselves. While you may think because their cause is huge only finances will satisfy their logic. However you must dig deep inside of yourself as a skillful communicator and come up with a powerful scenario to touch their meaning of life and  living. Do that well and you’ll totally engage these philanthropists at heart to sign up swiftly. They make great ministers, politicians, activists and world leaders. But there a quite a number of these folks who build monster checks and gargantuan network marketing organizations.

Now that you know the four distinctly different groups you must reach each one as you  speak and inform. Make your points through your presentation to cater to all never overlooking any. This will involve transitioning to each these zones and specific and planned times. Using a simple wheel analogy; if you think of a circle divided in four quarters, spend equal time (25%) relating to each motivation in the course of your presenting.

You will soon see more eyes light up, more people lean forward and in the end more reps signing up. Isn’t that better than 30% and lower enrollment ratio?  After the session you’ll see results gradually increase and as you build a career in the  professional network marketing or direct sales industry, you’ll be a better speaker connecting with more and more of your audience!

The Value and Importance of Implementing 3-Way Calls in Your Network Marketing Business

In this blog post I want to cover the value and importance of implementing 3-way calls. This applies  for you and any other serious rep you know who may be seeking to have more reps, better quality reps and sponsor them faster in your primary business.

The 3-way call is more than just three people on a phone call. It is a powerful strategy for increasing a reps ability to enroll more reps by using the credibility of a 3rd party (usually more successful than themselves). It is a valuable art and science that many aspiring well meaning reps eager for success are simply overlooking.

To put it simply a three-way call is where you have 3 people on the phone who are in different locations. They will obviously be you, your prospect and your calling partner aka your successful upline or (calling partner) They are going to be the one speaking to your prospect on your behalf for multiple reasons which I will outline next. A few things to remember upon enrolling in your new opportunity is to list and record all the cell numbers of your calling partners/ successful uplines so you know how to reach them.

When do you use a three way call? Three ways are very useful to accomplish various goals. The obvious one is tho handle and deflect any high level questions you cannot handle the tough objections. You can use them to welcome a new rep to your team.

Above all of the reason evident to use 3 ways the one powerful thing it does  demonstrate is support within your team by clearly showing the rep that they too can build the business. Because if they can get people on a three way call as well, then they can build the program. They will clue in that you are saying very little and the upline is the one doing the explaining, so since people tend to duplicate what they see, this is exactly what they will do in the future. This is POWERFUL in network marketing as it related not only to 3 ways but fundamentally you growing a massive organization and massive residual income.

Why do Three Way Calls Work? Here’s why and why they are of utmost importance not only  in network marketing but in really any business dealing where multiple people are involved.  I shall give you the simplified understanding without going into the high level psychological explanation. Whenever people want to be most persuasive with other people, two elements need to be present. Trust & Respect. One without the other is not as effective as with both. While a rep may have the trust of a potential prospect they may not have the business respect required to close the deal. By bringing in a third party you trust & respect who also has the expertise and authority to speak on a business level, you are increasing the odds becuse this speaks to the prospects intellect, logic and emotion. The pressure comes off you and is placed on the third party individual.

If you haven’t done any three way calls with your business leaders, start today. If your leaders are truly leaders in your company they will welcome them whole-heartedly and you will see your results skyrocket. Don;t do all the heavy lifting.
