One of the quickest and easiest ways to get more people interested and asking about your business are Networking Events. Whether we choose to categorize this as offline strategy or B2B marketing, the bottom line s that it works and can do a great deal for your name, brand and company to be exposed right in your local vicinity. Just think about the amount of traffic that trade shows, network forums attract. Sometimes close to 5000 people can flow through a well sponsored and advertised event in a day. But beyond the obvious exposure there are some other not-so-obvious perks of being a part of a trade show or event. I’ll list a few of them now.

1) You get to expose your opportunity to other savvy, sharp and open minded potential clients and or future business partners. While these events can generate great retail revenue, there are a lot of new customers that do evolve into full fledged reps. How? As a result of correct follow up and effective relational development that takes place after the event you met them at.

2) You get to educate and build your awareness about other companies niche market ie. comp plans and product lines SO THAT  you can compete accordingly with  them. Further, with this information you’ll better target your business in a more specific way to people those companies are not reaching. By knowing what everyone else is doing, you can tweak yourself and become even better at yours by not doing the status quot. WARNING: [You do not want to join multiple companies nor do you need to do to acquire the results this investigative strategy can provide. Just learn to ask good questions and you'll be just fine.]

3) You can literally generate much more leads and interested prospects in one place over the course of a few hours. This for many struggling reps can be the dynamic infusion and injection of “new blood” that an organization starved for momentum really needs. Just think about what 10 new reps on your team would do for your momentum, and income right now? Now what if your team duplicated you in a 90 day period of times doing the same? Imagine the results!! Book a network event or trade show and find out.

4) You will get automatically branded as the guy or gal that is the go-to person for your company in your area. I call this the “celebrity” effect. Your face will be known , your name remembered just because you stepped out of your comfort zone to connect and expose. It is not uncommon for referrals from other vendors at a trade show or networking show to pass on prospects to you if you exchanged your contact details properly and professionally.

5) You personally grow and develop yourself internally because you step up out of uncertainty and walk into leadership. Let’s face it the absolute # 1 trait that all successful mlm, network marketers and professional sales people all possess is leadership. Here at these forums is the perfect climate for you to start exercising your leadership muscles. There is just no better environment to grow than when you are in a room full of other sharp leaders.
