Resolutions Vs Real Solutions: Why 90% of Network Marketers Fail To Change Their New Years’ Pattern

Don’t let this be you next year! You know, the rep that says they are going to do this and that and this and that. So many well meaning reps inside network marketing get very emotional and declare their brand newresolutions only to be dragging their heals in February. Sound familar? Have you ever stopped to consider what’s going on here? Did you ever think to could this be a pattern of systematic failure occurring? Well, this is exactly what is happening and it is not unique to marketers.

The entire society has been victimized by a excessive and over marketed concept of year-end or “new years’ resolutions” but seldom do they pan out They have everyone wanting to make more money, wanting to lose weight wanting to travel more or perhaps to improve the quality of relationships with their kids or spouses. These are all great desires but 90% are met with dismal results by the spring. The issue here is not bad people but  a bad cylical pattern and one that we are going to expose in this blog. If you want to get off the new years excuses treadmill, off the feel good ferris wheel and finally off the excuse-ridden roller coaster this post is for you or anyone else you feel can benefit. Once and for all we will expose and uncover why the average rep fails to change their new years patterns and how to get the results you actually want.

The reality is that all of our life is built on patterns and while these habits are inherently good, they are as only good as the committments we attach to them. You see just saying to ourselves or to someone else what we plan on doing doesn’t make that event magically happen. Infact if we tell the wrong person we can drive ourselves farther from the goal if there are negative emotions connected to that individual. The first step is to understand committment. In the words of George Zalucki, author of Profiles of a Champion book and audio cd, he defines committment as “Doing the thing you said you’d do long after the feeling you when you said it, has passed.” Ultimately it’s aboiut keeping your word (to you) You see what I have learned from all successul people in life is just that -they keep their word. They preserve their integrity with themself first and above all else. Then this same integirty flows out into every area of their lives. The second thing they do is maintain accountabilty. There is usually another person of extremely high integrity that they get in agreement with so that what they said they will get follwoed up on routinely. Now this isn’t a rigid or restrictive routine but one of mutual respect. It’s been seen time and time again that when two person of high integrity enter into an agreement, committments are successfully kept. What are you promising you and to whom have you committed the goal to? Simply put if you want the odds of keeping your resolution to increase dramamtically, share it with a person you feel has a higher committment level than yourself. They will hold you accoutable and your new years goal will actually become a real solution rather than just a resolution. You’re 50% on your way to seeing results, but there is yet a few more steps to mention. Here are three key disciplines all committed and high intergity marketers pattern. They are refered to as 3 P’s of success.

1. Prepare Someone once said preparation is 70% of the all success and I agree with them. In our business that is making a list or establising our inventory. The prospects on your list are actually your proprietary inventory based on the established relationships you have with them. Tip: This is a powerful concept the rich know and utilize to develop wealth and leaders over the centuries. If you are not prepared and do not know where you are or what you have to begin with, then you automatically set yourself up for failure. This limits your potential for impact and worst erodes your own self confidence, neither of which is good. So get prepared by writing down every potential lead, client ot prospect. Think about this and you’ll write more names down. What if your would be paid $100 dollars for every name you could just write down? Now you’re not pre-judging but just accumulating inventory. See how different you’re thinking now…

2. Present No one can ever join you in business if they don’t know what or who or more importantly why they are joinging. By accurately and effectively presenting the information they will come to see what you have seen and understand. How do you do this? One simple way is you use our calendar and you book it. If you are not disciplined then just let your calendar do this for you. An empty calendar doesn’t lie and if you fill up the boxes in your day-timer, you’ll fill up your bank account in time. Further, many of these prospects will come to meet some of the top leaders, trainers and mentors you have been able to access in your life. And all success hinges on power relationships when you really boil it down. How many leaders and coaches do the prospects you plan on presenting your business to in 2012 actually have access to? Can you see now that you do have something even great to present to them other than just the numbers?

3. Persist This last “P” is ever so critical as it brings together the previous two. You see creativity is no good without consistency and all the preparation and presenting is void if you never stay steady at it. I have seen many well prepared and polished people, fail becasue they just never stayed the course and this brings us back to point on integrity. Keeping your word helps keep you steady and consistent. Statistics shows the average network marketer experiences exponential income growth, team duplication and product sales in the 2nd to 3rd year of their business. But sadly this is also where most reps forfeit and sabotoge massive fortunes becasue they simply walk away, let go or quit. Here is axiom never to forget. Any farmer who sews seed and then leaves the farm loses twice. Once because he loses his harvest, but two because someoe else who stayed on that farm gets his crops. Isn’t it silly to miss out on what out on what you worked for in the first place? Truth is the guy or gal that just stays steady with a nice consistent work ehtic (and positive attitude) will always triumph and surpass the well-intentioned individuals who just never start or remain engaged. Always rememebr Prepare. Present, but never forget to persist.

I hope after reading this you are better prepared for 2012 and you’ll no longer be a victim in cyclical behaviour pattern making resolutions you’ll never realize. Cease from being a pawn of the marketing ploys of resolutions becasue they never work. Some business professionals analyzing last quarter profits other lost ventures and clients. What does the average network marketing rep do at this time of year? Well, quite truthfully the average rep does nothing. They make the same weak resolutions they did last year but never inject an ounce of personal discipline to see it realized. I am going to shock you and tell you, forget resolutions. Stop being cyclical and following the crowd. Decide to soar above the average rep out there before you enter 2012. Here’s why, above average reps prepares to get better, go higher, and give more. The way they start is by saying “I am thankful for what last year gave me” so “I may receive all of what this new year is bringing to me.” As you keep reading this post you will see the power real power is in reflection and not just repetitive resolutions year to year.

You see as you reflect there is a difference between defeat and temporary disappointment. One is final and one transitional. Many may feel disappointment but are actually in the midst of having breakthrough. Although standing on the verge of manifestation, their very own mindset sabotages them. Whether it be health, relationships, spiritual or network marketing business we all can use this time of year to better prepare for the future. As we wind out one year and gear up for the next we must take the time to understand a few things. 1) We learn from the past. What is the lesson? That not every failure is failure…Why? Because we learned how to do it wrong that we might do it right the next time. Failure isn’t a person (you or me) but simply an event and events can always be replaced with other victorious ones. This process is called the progressive learning. If we are not learning then we are most assuredly not living and not alive. 2) We gain the ability to inspire ourselves and others through the real life story we are cultivating. If you want an inspirational story and one that impacts lives, you cannot pick and choose the moments that define you. All the moments are required.True inspiration cannot be forged without the ups and the downs for collectively they produce the masterpiece we call life. Like a seed grows with all of natures conditions, the sun and the rain, your story is not perfected without the laughter and the tears, the happiness and the pain. All the elements shape us as the wind does the mountain. So embrace it and get ready to share your  developing story next year with others who will need your inspiration when they ask you how you made it. 3) We grow into the human being, husband, wife, sister, brother father, mother or network marketer we deserve to become. By improving, establishing and executing new habits and sharpening basic skill sets, our future is guaranteed to be greater than our past. Even if you have not seen any sign of growth nor a speck of increase last year -know this. The growth (leaders) are there but just has not broken through the soil yet.. The harvest (team) you’re searching for when you peruse the surface of the field (group) isn’t really missing or invisible – it exists but below the ground as a network of roots (foundation) without which you cannot have a crop (lifestyle). If you abandon the field now you’ll never touch your harvest in 2012 while others who planted later than you and fewer seeds than you, will! Can you see how close you are?

Do you have the faith and determination to see your crop come up in 2012? Do you have the guts to see your harvest manifest next year? If so then commit to turn defeat into determination, apathy into action and ideas into impact. How To Get Exactly What You Want & Desire in Life and Business

Many of you may or may not have seen this movie a few years back called The Secret. I certainly did, and when I watched it at the time I must admit I thought I knew what it was all about. Tons of people extolled the concept and clamored for a copies to pass on to friends and family members after the film version came out in 2006.

It now has been 5 years  and there are few people who have not heard about it.The deeper question is have you applied it?

Recently I had a very thought provoking conversation with a close friend and business partner and we were discussing a very interesting subject. Struggle. We asked each other why some people consistently struggle and  just cannot seem to get into the flow of success, while others tend to have things flow easy to them or atleast it seems that way. Was it just us or have you ever thought about this yourself? Why do some people attract the same kind of draining repetitive relationships while others seem to have joyous long term ones. Why do doors of opportunities seem to always swing open for one kind of person and stay open while seemingly misfortune accompanies another. Why do some reps take years to see a speck of growth while others hit the ground and experience it almost instantly.  Is it a matter of luck or chance or coincidence? Well as we spoke I reflected on certain principles I recall being taught as a child. As the son of a minister (which was awesome) I remember hearing timeless lessons about laws and principles that govern the universe and mankind. It was then I remembered this film The Secret and as we explored this topic further, I concluded that there was way more to it than I had originally understood.

It’s this extra information I would like for you to consider today in this blog post as we prepare to enter a new year and as it relates to you inside your Numis opportunity.

This information you are about to learn could possibly be the missing link in your equation of success inside your business. If I had to sum it up in one sentence, it’s nothing more than learning truth- applying that truth – and sharing that truth others. But this truth is enormous. You see there are principles and laws that works universally for all whether you are aware of it or not. It’s as real and indisputable as the sun rising in the east daily and setting in the west. The Power of Choice: A Secret to Dynamic Network Marketing

Whenever I speak to reps on a daily basis, one of the things I like to do a quick check up. Similar to a doctor’s but without all the probing.

It’s a simple test and one that will give me (and you) an accurate reading as to the motivation factor or why level of your team. The check is fast, simple and painless. Well atleast it should be. Albeit the answer it reveals can be somewhat bitter pill to swallow  becasue until it is clarified well meaning reps can be going through the motions, meanwhile be completely off track. So if you’ve had reps or you yourself have never taken this test and you want to know how healthy your mindset is, keep reading.

So what is the test question? It’s simple and here’s how I usually phrase it.  “I am going to ask you one question and I want you to be 100% honest. What is the one thing  building this business is going to provide or produce for you that not building will not?”  Then you shut up and listen. Whatever they say next is their WHY. And when they tell it to you, you should remember it and never let them forget what they just told you. So that in the future when they get tired (and they will) you can remember it and remind them to bring them back to true north.

You see without a why or the correct motivation, not only will the daily actions of building a business grow old and mundane, but most reps will diffuse themselves into stagnation, and perpetual self analysis due to over checking of results. They may say things like, “this business just isn’t working for me anymore”…or “why do I even bother, no one is duplicating anyways” or perhaps this:  “it’s just too far and too hard to do this any longer.” All of these corrosive phrases are (to me) a clear sign of the beginnings of NMA. Negative Mental Attitude or in other words first symptoms of the failure disease.A condition that afflicts 90% of reps today who DO NOT KNOW THEIR WHY.

Let me ask you, Have you determined your why? Have you committed it to paper so you don’t forget it and have you shared it with your sponsor/upline mentor? If you haven’t, do it at once. You must make the active decision of your will; a conscious decision to do TWO things. 1) Know your Why 2) Build your business with it. I cannot do it for you. Neither can your upline or downline. This is a choice you and only you must make and the sooner you make it the faster everything in your business (and life) will change. In my case when I honed in on my true why, every appointment I booked became purposeful, every presentation I made became more powerful as it brought me closer to my why being realized. Even the very words I spoke began to carry the fire and fuel I need to make the make message memorable. It completely changed the regular habits of the daily business activities and made them significant and also life changing.You see you won’t quit on yourself or others when you make this shift. You  too can have this happen in your business.The minute you choose to uncover your why by taking and conducting this simple test.

Finally,  if you do not see that what you are doing as having lasting effect, generational impact and a lifetime of meaning. Then nothing you do will be long term. It simply means you haven’t figured out why. (you have not taken the test) Today I challenge you to call a meeting with yourself and do a quick check up (from the neck up). You”ll find once you make that decision, choosing to succeed will be easy and your success  and teams’ in network marketing will be inevitable.

Why You Shouldn’t be Afraid to Present & Why PBR ‘s Are The Answer

Are you a scared rep? C’mon, be honest. Are you one of them? Look we’ve all been there…

Quite seriously though, many reps in my company & (I’m sure yours) in general inside of network marketing are scared to pieces. Scared of what? THIS. They’re afraid to present their business to others. Actually scratch that word. There actually terrified to actually do what I’m actually going to show you.  Show what you ask? -a simple and effective idea called a PBR

A PBR refers to as a “private business reception. And in my primary company its where a few local reps gather together to share business information in a very casual setting ie a boardroom, a cafe or better yet a home setting. To be quite honest PBR’s are where magic inside of network marketing happens.  But it’s a lost art today. With so many online tools and techy substitutions it’s overlooked and under-valued as key strategy to produce massive results. Ironically though many top producers and mlm leaders agree 100% a PBR’s is still an effective way to expose, engage, explode and create duplication in your team or organization. You see the reality is ANY rep who wants success must embrace leadership. (They will have to personally grow by developing themselves) They will have to face this challenge, but the good news is it’s an incredibly rewarding one. One where you can get up in front a few people at first, then a smaller crowd after and eventually a larger forum to share your opportunity. By that time you will be dynamic. Doing PBR’s regularly sharpens your  skills and promotes the same across your team. It’s where real success in network marketing is born, where dynamic leadership is honed and where great people skills are sharpened.
