“Mr. Anderson, Are You Duplicating Properly in your Network Marketing Business?”

Industry leader Eric Worre, coined a phrase I love to repeat. “It’s not what you can do that matters but what duplicates.” As an noted author, speaker, networking leader and mlm millionaire I 100% agree with him. We all know that duplication is magic. It’s THE key to building a stable team, long term growth and a thriving organization. But if that is the case and Eric is so right, why then is there such a massive statistic of failure that still persists in our great industry? In this blog post I will address the top 4 fatal errors many reps and leaders make which cost them fortunes. I’ll also highlight 5 core principles that all duplicating leaders do without fail. I firmly believe it’s not so much a question of are you duplicating, but are you duplicating properly?

From day one when a rep registers, enrolls or is sponsored into a network marketing opportunity, it begins. The process that cannot always be seen starts taking shape. Usually how a rep is brought get started  is how they themselves will build. So goes the head so goes the tail. While this seems harmless and logical, it can be the biggest hindernace and challenge that rep will ever face in their mlm career. You see it’s not the negative or even skeptical prospects that poses the greatest threat of success for reps. On the contrary it is not being taught from the start ‘how to duplicate properly’. So here are 4 corrosive thought processes you want to avoid and how to tell you if you’re not duplicating properly.

The Well-Meaning Lone Ranger Mentality. This rep or wannabe  leader sees growth one way. Only produced by themselves. They view their business as a solo sport instead of a posse business. They feel compelled to do everything their way to the degree where they control everything. There is little to no communication and their upline leaders are the last to know. They tend to be all managerial and less leader. They use pressure rather than people skills and intimidate instead of inspire. At the end of the day the very thing they have mastered is ultimately what they are left with -themselves. You definitely do not want to build a lone ranger business.

Re-inventing the wheel and short-cutting a proven system. There’s always room for creativity, change and innovation, but the non-duplicating rep is obsessed and  tries to re-invent or outdo something already proven, working and getting results- and all for a wrong motive. Many times it is not even for results, it’s merely for the personal . I’m the first to endorse improvements but change just for change sake creates confusion and confusion stops growth. Change is truly best when needed. However when the selfish motive for that change is made just for approval or validation, you have a rep that is overcompensating for a serious void that something else needs to fill. Understand that network marketing IS the short cut from having to work 45 years by simply working smart 2-5yrs. If someone claims to have a better idea or method, ask them to show you their results (first) before you alter in any way the success of what you’re doing.

Leaders’ Egos that get in the way of their own growth. This by far is one of the biggest pitfalls and perpetrators of mlm demise. The leader who cannot get his ego in check. It’s too big and in the way all the time. They refuse to work harmoniously and cannot seem to remain inclusive and embrace the contribution of others on the team. Typically what happens is a inter-personal situation comes to a boil and that leader either costs others their dream or they foolishly blow themselves out of the water and opportunity.We all have egos as leaders which is why we seek entrepreneurialism but the problem arises when for some they grow over-sized and unhealthy that they inevitably get in their way of success.

Deliberately breeding confusing in your team. Of the previous scenarios outlined, this one has got to be the most foolish and blatantly stupid. While no leader guilty of this violation would ever admit they willfully intended to kill their momentum and stunt their growth, it has been done far to often. For most it comes from a place of over zealousness and introducing too many ideas and multiple programs to their team. Sadly there are few who out right succumb to pure greed and reckless ethics. Either way this slow acting poison tends seep everywhere and leads to this: massive confusion, lost focus, distracted vision, demolished dreams and reduced retention. But by obeying this 1 cardinal rule, you’ll be golden. “Never use or take advantage of your team for profit but rather train them to duplicate, build and teach and you will reap the proper benefits a network marketing business done right produces.”

Now that we have given you what doesn’t duplicate properly, let us outline for you the 5 healthy thought processes of true duplicating mlm leaders. These habits and solid ethics are so evident that you cannot help but see them demonstrated without fail in any top producers regardless of company. See if you identify the following  in yourself

1. Duplicating leaders do first what the team hasn’t done or won’t do. These reps do what everyone else talks about doing. They prioritize and do the income producing activities and never the the busy non-producing kind. They never make excuses and are always first to apply new information and trainings. They know one speed and that is lead.
2. Duplicating leaders don’t wait for but take leadership. These reps are not waiting for a feeling. They create the feeling. They do not believe in a special breaks or luck or chance. They are guided by the fact that of another leader has done it (if they duplicate) they an have it too.
3. Duplicating leaders don’t wait for things to happen. They are not passive. These reps are pro-active. They see their actions as powerful ones. Not transactional ones ony but transformational ones that lead to futures being altered and generations being impacted. They know if they wait or fail to do, a life may prevented from being affected powerfully.
4. Duplicating leaders constantly communicate to their leaders. These reps know the true art of communicating. Keeping the lines above all across their team and above all with their upline leaders. They know that what they do, will be duplicated and if they set a bad example of not keeping their leaders in the loop, the same fate will befall them downline. Talking on regular basis with their upline leader keeps the information flowing and unity strong in their businesses.
5. Duplicating leaders are always positive-minded. There is not one of these reps who has team growth and organizational success that promotes negativity or negative energy. As a matter of fact they constantly work on their mindset with positive mental attitude books, attending events and stay in coaching so that the best of personal growth flows into and out of their organization. Show me a top producing duplicating leader and I’ll show you a positive person.

Now you have the clear guidelines of “what not to do” and “what to do” to remain or become a truly duplicating leader. How Human Beings Come Alive & Perform Better in Network Marketing

That title caught you off guard didn’t it? You probably thought “what do human beings and their wiring have to do with network marketing or my business?” Actually.. everything. Of course as human we assemble, build construct and wire things, but we are also built and engineered a certain way to operate. If we are to have optimum success in our lives and busines there is a fact we must embrace. We have to build each other. You see network marketing is not a solo sport but a team one and the primary function all successful leaders engage in and eventually master is the building of people. Specifically, raising their belief and getting them to take action. In this blog I’ll highlight 5 areas  we as human are wired for and how we can get optimum peak performance to benefit our business and this industry.

As we just concluded the video submission deadline for our Bigwave Project yesterday Feb 1st 11:59pm. I have been amazed at not only the response but the affect it has produced. Scores of videos are still pouring in and what people are saying is blowing us away. Now I have to be honest, I knew it would illicit some of this interest but the other dynamic I’m noticing is the far more amazing. What I see happening is truly a movement being birthed and non-orchestrated. A movement where different members on our team with no financial tie or gain are acknowledging, affirming and pulling the best out each other. It has energized and electrified those who for a while have been abashed, apprehensive and afraid to truly get their business off the ground. People are getting involved in their own success rather than waiting passively for a feeling or miracle to happen.
So what changed?
The change is, we began hearing instead of just talking. And this has created a spark between us (humans) that is very familiar and central to our make up. You see we are really not that complex at all, but we’ve made ourselves complicated. It’s really not hard to grasp although it eluded many bright and intelligent people for years. Simply put: we all crave and desire the same When given a chance to speak or express ourselves we learn two things. a) we may in fact want different things but b) are all in hot pursuit of the same result. This is what I witnessed from many reps participating in the WMTYM video project. The amazing phenomena is that this wasn’t even part of the intended result. We haven’t even produced the prospecting film yet from the content but already the value, insight and benefit of this corporate process has been seen and felt. Someone described it as a pebble thrown in a pond, but these are the ripples that actually eminating from it. But why the ripple?

Human beings have basic needs and guess what, because you’re one of the species, you have these innate desires inside you. Any serious person seeking change must discover it if they are to operate beyond the level they are currently at. No I am not talking about the needs for cars, houses, clothing or even money. Those are good basic needs to have and I want them too. What I am speaking about is a sense of who you are, why you are and the significance your life represents to others. So many people believe just simply breathing is living and acquiring things is success but it’s more. You’ re not incorrect – just incomplete. Expression is life. Choice is life, Togetherness is life. Freedom is life. It’s what’s deeply rooted within us but as we grow up and the older we get, the more it gets drowned out by life. All the negative programming and events dampen our dreams. However, something simple as asking a question has in the last 7 days begun to reawaken that meaning. In many reps it has brought clarity back where they had grown foggy and unclear about what they truly want. For me and my wife this has been a defining moment in our busines and journey with our team.

Here are just a few codes we as humans thrive on and connect with others on. I’ll defne them simply:
1. FAMILY & COMMUNITY – a major common thread woven in the videos.
2. PURPOSE & MISSION – a strong goal many mom’s and dad’s desired.
3. CONTRIBUTION & SIGNIFICANCE -a burn for those wanting to give more in life.
4. PARTNERSHIP & RESPECT – the universal emancipator of any rep part of a team
5. LOVE & UNDERSTANDING the bond that centers us all regardless of culture or creed.

Each of these core values is what hard-wires us and programs us for achievement. And when we disconnect or have one of these wires faulty or slightly loosened, the effect can be devastating. People go through their entire lives missing the signals and symptoms in others because their own wires are dislodged. Even as network marketers who have high ambitions and aspirations possessing great talent and skill, without understanding this emotional mechanism, you’ll stall others and delay your own success.

We believe it’s time to get back to BASICS. Return to the fundamentals of LIFE. Rediscover yur WHY. Simply by asking the question we asked in this video project what matters most to you?” we have re-connected some people back to their greatness. They are finding their souls again and new meaning for their business.  Now clearer, focused, and disciplined they can be way more effective in their daily business production. Make no mistake it 100% comes down to production, (what we do) but when the a human spirit is not well, sick or uncertain, no amount of information or logic can cure that ailment.

Today think about your families, reflect on your kids, cherish the minutes you have while you can be and do for them. Look at other humans (prospects) as you would want them to see you. Not only as a transaction or financial object, but as a life full and abounding with great potential. When you adopt this philosophy into your routine, then you’ll see how humans really work (together) how they are wired (internally) and how they come alive to become the best they were meant to be.

An Interactive Blog Post: What Are Your Top 3 Goals of 2012?

Over 90% of people never succeed not because they are not capable or lack talent, but because they never start. Procrastination kills dreams and suffocates goals.Today in this first blog of this brand new 2012 year we’ve been blessed with I want to help you overcome procrastination. I say blessed with because we all are privilegded to be here to see it. Many did not and many who are alive still don’t see the blessing in this new year. (some will get that later)  Here’s what I am going to do today: I am going to challenge you to do the first and foremost thing that all serious people, champions and network marketing leaders do privately and publicly to stop procrastination. A) To declare your goals and B) to get started  in achieving them. What all serious individuals do is they just plain take the raw action and get the job done! You see for some the number on the calendar just changed, but they haven’t, But the truth be known you have a powerful opportunity to hit the “reset”  button. Hitting the reset button is your chance to start fresh and embrace a new 2012 year for all of what you want to see happen that perhaps never fully manifested  in 2011. So how do you do it?

The first thing is to attack the fear or repetitive apathy of “never getting around to it” You must retire from making excuses and hold yourself to this new standard. You’ve heard people say all the time, “I’ll do it when I get around to it” right? So here you are on this 1st week of January…I’m giving you a (round tuit) today LOL  and telling you that in order to give yourself a greater chance of achievement in 2012 you must start, speak and declare the goal to others if you’re going to have a fighting chance at success. Secondly, you cannot hit a goal you have not set nor can anybody encourage you to that goal if they do not know it. So if you’re already a step ahead and done this – great. If not, get moving and hit the reply button after you finish reading this post and share them with our community  But also commit to encourage others around to do this same exercise. I’ll start it off but before I do I must share below what I am grateful and thankful since the beginning of last year. Then I will post my 2012 goals as promised in the reply feed to set the pace and  example. Of all the great personal and business-related accomplishments of 2011 here are a few that top the list.

I am grateful and thankful that I have a wife Eva (my business partner) that has been with me by my side supporting me and our team 150% I couldn’t have made it with out her.

I am grateful and thankful for good health and the health of loved ones around me.

I am grateful and thankful that I was shown Numis and given the chance to participate in the free enterprise system rather than be controlled economically all the days of my life.

I am grateful and thankful that I have been the recipient of so many great leaders in our team over the 2011 year. We have over 1200 reps and many leaders nation wide too many to list but you know who you are.

I am so thankful for great business mentors, spiritual leaders and the special behind the scenes relationships that inspired us daily.

I am grateful & thankful that all the wealth and finances we required have met all our needs of 2011. It’s amazing how the power of intention causes things to show up.

Finally I am grateful and thankful for a Divine Creator that gave me a dream and a desire to never quit and for a vision that included you in 2011.

I trust you are also thankful as you start 2012. The only real way to set goals is out of a place and position of deep gratitude. You ask how does that work? Simple. By lifting your hands in thanks for what you have (regardless of how small) you open up your hands powerfully to receive what you thought you could never attain. The Best Christmas Gift We Received From Our Numis Team in 2011

We had a sensational time the other night in our condo party room. Many of our local Toronto Numis reps got together to celebrate the season as a team. The night was filled with good food, good laughs, great reflections of 2011, visions for 2012 and a wonderful surprise from we were not expecting.

Under the diligent creative and masterful controls of Firas & Suha Abouzeid, they secretly produced a smashing and impactful video that simply took our breath away. Eva and I were simply delighted to have our reps show up. But to be surprised with this heart-felt video contribution was truly the best Christmas gift we could ever have imagined and received from our team in 2011.

The Basics & Fundamentals of a 3-Way Call

In this blog post I want to cover the value and importance of implementing 3-way calls. This applies  for you and any other serious rep you know who may be seeking to have more reps, better quality reps and sponsor them faster in your primary business.

The 3-way call is more than just three people on a phone call. It is a powerful strategy for increasing a reps ability to enroll more reps by using the credibility of a 3rd party (usually more successful than themselves). It is a valuable art and science that many aspiring well meaning reps eager for success are simply overlooking.

If you’d like to increase your sign ups starting today, then let us examine (3) key points:

1) What a three way call is. 2) When to use a three way call and 3) why they work so well.

To put it simply a three-way call is where you have 3 people on the phone who are in different locations. They will obviously be you, your prospect and your calling partner aka your successful “edifiable upline.” They are going to be the one speaking to your prospect on your behalf for multiple reasons which I will outline next. A few things to remember upon enrolling in your new opportunity is to list and record all the cell numbers of your calling partners/ successful uplines so you know how to reach them.

When do you use a three way call? Three ways are very useful to accomplish various goals. The obvious one is tho handle and deflect any high level questions you cannot handle the tough objections. You can use them to welcome a new rep to your team.

Above all of the reason evident to use 3 ways the one powerful thing it does  demonstrate is support within your team by clearly showing the rep that they too can build the business. Because if they can get people on a three way call as well, then they can build the program. They will clue in that you are saying very little and the upline is the one doing the explaining, so since people tend to duplicate what they see, this is exactly what they will do in the future. This is POWERFUL in network marketing as it related not only to 3 ways but fundamentally you growing a massive organization and massive residual income.

Why do Three Way Calls Work? Here’s why and why they are of utmost importance not only  in network marketing but in really any business dealing where multiple people are involved.  I shall give you the simplified understanding without going into the high level psychological explanation. Whenever people want to be most persuasive with other people, two elements need to be present. Trust & Respect. One without the other is not as effective as with both. While a rep may have the trust of a potential prospect they may not have the business respect required to close the deal. By bringing in a third party you trust & respect who also has the expertise and authority to speak on a business level, you are increasing the odds because this speaks to the prospects intellect, logic and emotion. The pressure comes off you and is placed on the third party individual.

If you haven’t done any three way calls with your business leaders, start today. If your leaders are truly leaders in your company they will welcome them whole-heartedly and you will see your results skyrocket. Don;t do all the heavy lifting. Work smart not hard.  get out of your way and experience faster success with the power of a well done three way call.

Why You Don’t Want Everyone To Join Your Team!! (Without this)

You probably did a double take when you read that headline I’m sure. But if you grasp the next few points I will cover in this post, you’ll consider a whole new perspective for building a healthy thriving network marketing organization. It really is that you want everyone who is a right fit for your team to join your team…let’s go!

Question, is the goal of building a network marketing  business (that one day will pay you passive residual daily) only to get a “yes”? I mean is it all just about transactions,  only about the ink  drying on a 50 sign-ups a day? While I  beg to differ do not misunderstand me I am aware that most companies pay their commissions on the basis of enrolling and recruiting. I have done my share of that. The point to which I write this post is regarding a very specific topic; one frankly that is getting little to no airplay inside the networking  and business world.  The word is simple, but an often overlooked ingredient  necessary for any company, team or business to flourish an have long-term. That word is Unity.

Unity is the stuff that keeps a team’s purpose clear in the hearts and minds of their players, a company’s values cemented in their organization and a business producing for years to come.  It is not only the how but the why. It’s also why those top leaders who have said “yes” to you, will stay with you way down the road long after those who also said “yes” and not meant it have faded away. When things get tough, committed ones remain, all the other who have paid lip service  would have packed up and left. All except the ones that are united with you. The ones who’s core value of unity resonate with yours.

So what ‘s the difference between those that say “yes” and build and those that say “yes” and fade?  Well as a very wise mentor once shared with me. Sometime a the word yes is really a “no” 100BV ( or whatever your company gives for the volume of the sign-up.) It’s a hard truth to swallow but integrity and commitment is a scarcity on the world an it’s no different in building a team in network marketing.

I personally believe when you grasp unity, that you should be happy when some folks tell you ‘no”, “quit” or leave you. Why?Bbecause they are saving you future grief, heart ache and drama that otherwise would occur if they joined , stayed and produced negative toxic environment.What is a toxic environment for a team. Simple. One where unity is not fostered. Where it’s all about me, my and self. No team can survive long term with short-term , over-inflated ego-maniacs. Trust me, I’ve been there done that and got the the t-shirt.

Heres’ my axiom I live by and teach my leaders weekly. Having a rock solid unified team of unskilled players can  way out perform a divide, negative unsure team of  skilled players. The reason why is talent can only be directed in a spirit of unity and common purpose. The team mission or vision must be clear, understood and the team must be unified in it to carry it out and see it manifest.

But how can we know when a member of our team is a future success and will add value we desire? After all no one has a crystal ball nor can look into a human’s heart and for the record, talk is cheap. Truth is, there is a way. I call it the UNITY TEST. We can expose whether we have unified players by asking these few questions. Apply them now to your current team

Just ask yourself this about your team.

1. Do they expect me to build their businesses for them and will blame me if they do not succeed?

2. Do they seek to support one another in my absence?

3. Do they promote the team, events, tools and leadership to their new rep?

4. Do they seek controversy over harmony when all is said and done?

5. Are they critical of the compensation, products, ownership and themselves?

6. Will they leave the team without a thought if they  got paid off to do so ?

7. Can they clearly articulate the team’s vision/goal or mission to one another if asked separately to do so?

As you can see the answers to these seven questions would clearly provide the prognosis of whether you have fragmented or unified players in your team, healthy or toxic reps comprising your organization?

Make a commitment to no longer be upset  (or get frustrated) if the wrong people do not stay. It’s the right rep you want. The one who wants to be with you and grow with you and contribute to you. Instead rejoice, give thanks and be grateful by them NOT JOINING or STAYING your group can be stronger, more united and attractive and healthier through complete team UNITY.

Finally take the challenge this week to committ to paper to write out your team’s mission or vision statement. You’ll be amazed what can happen when your players know what they are part of and all working towards.

So the bottom line point or moral of the story is… it’s not that you don’t want everyone to join your team, YOU WANT EVERYONE WHO IS  RIGHT TO JOIN YOUR TEAM!

5 Questions Championship Players Always Ask Themselves That Make Them Win

Today The Green Bay Packers are now the official 2011 Superbowl XLV Champions. Whether you watched the game LIVE or over pay per view, that isn’t the point of this blog. It is a  deeper message I shall attempt to unearth. It is 5 Simple questions I believe all achievers, athletes or network marketing professionals must ask themselves to have the winning edge. Packers or Steelers, democrat or republican, black or white, male or female… What are these 5 questions I am referring to? Let’s begin and let me ask you those same questions…

People will always be drawn to a team or individual that gets plays at a very high level. The reason is simple. Winning or more specifically, the desire to win is  infectious and most every person wants to be part of a winning  team or in a winning environment. Are you part of great team of winning-minded players in your network marketing company?

There is a common pride we all feel when we see out fellow teammates dedicates themselves to go above on beyond to achieve. This is called “the pull” and can motivate and inspires some of the greatest successes in the industry.  Network marketing is not a solo sport but a team one. Unfortunately, jobs are solo so understanding this difference is vital. Are you motivated by your team to go above and beyond to achieve higher in your business?

Watching others on the field makes us want to get in the field. There’s no question you can only sit on the sidelines of your opportunity for so long. You can’t just watch while others get involved in the game and enjoy the thrill and success of actually winning. Aren’t you tired of seeing other players (just like you)  do all the sponsoring & recruiting and wining in your business?

We must embrace the  undeniable point that you can only ever become the best at your sport or (in the case of network marketing) by honing your craft. When you commit to becoming a better you will not negotiate the time required to practice over and over and over again. There’s also the team effect. You just can’t put a price tag on the value of partnership. That teamwork on the field is huge. Just think -How many games of preparation and training these super bowl athletes do just to play a few minutes on a championship level? Wow! It’s time for us to stop making excuses today! Are you ready to play your best at a championship level in your opportunity?

Finally  there are many other references I can draw here such as having a superb coach in our lives. This is invaluable as we improve ourselves day to day. But the major point I will conclude this post with is this. All of these football players that  played in this year’s 2011 Superbowl XLV 2011 have a 150% passion for the game and their  own game. They made no excuses. They’ve worked hard & relentlessly to get there. And although in competition there can only be one victor, because each teammate  dedicated themselves to be the very best and gave their all, they were all winners.  Regardless of what others feel about them; media, fans, family members, fellow opponents and yes even fellow team players.  At the end of the day when they laced up and stepped on the field last night they knew what had to be sacrificed and what had to be left on the field. Everything! Are you willing to leave it all on the field to achieve in a way that makes others strive higher in their lives and business too?

The reality is this:  It’s about emptying everything you’ve got on that field, (that field being your chosen business arena) Never quitting and never making excuses. Always realizing that in order to get that privilege of playing at that level you have become someone who who becomes more. When you do this you’ll achieve something others only dream of in a lifetime.

The final point here in this post is this. All great teams have great coaches and have an attitude of coachableness to their coach. It goes without saying that the many months and in many cases, years leading up to a team win, everyone has to be coachable. All the players train learning the plays, staying united, being disciplined in their diets, not calling separate agendas, never abaondoning practices but above all committed to listening to the coach. Without this no championship team can ever win. The same holds true in our network marketing business by having ana mainataing an attitude of coachableness. It means you are willing to submit to learn from those who have gone before you who can train you by saving you time and energy. Are you coachable? Are you committed to learn the team plays, the system and do things the right way to give yourseld greater odds of suceeding. If you haven’t and want to be like the Green Bay Packers in your network marketing company this year, then start being coachable today!

I’m reading a great book right now by one of myall time favorite authors. John C Maxwell. It’s on why so many people never ever fully achieve. Invest in your self before 2010 end and pick up a personal copy.

The one and only thing that make any business work is one thing – leadership. Not follower-ship but leadership. Stop trying to blend into the status quot & stand out from among the crowd…then and only them will you become the man/woman, the brand and success you desire to be.

So many well meaning reps and aspiring leaders confuse, political correctness, niceness, kindness  and even talent for leadership. Seeking comfort and the approval of everyone is a absolute sentence to a lifetime bondage. Not physical but the emotional kind. I call it “people bondage.”

While it’s essential to be cordial with those around us and in our business, you’ll never achieve that high level of success without commanding the deep respect that becoming a leader brings.  You’ll not even achieve if you say all the the right things. Simply put, you must be right. Until you are respected as a leader you won’t ever experience all the perks, benefits, financial rewards and accolades of the title.

Frankly being a leader is the reward. When you can be & do in harmony, then the power flows.

This can only come about by good decisions. And good decisions hurt and are exceeding uncomfortable. Leading is being and doing. Doing the things that are difficult, uncomfortable, unpopular and that make people flat out mad. Who cares if it is the right thing you’re doing. The fruit of your actions will be silence the “Nay’ Sayers utterly.

What is a life without these ingredients anyways??

So tonight or today as we stare another fresh holiday year in the face. TRULY Make a decision BEFORE 2011 that you will step up and stand out. You will STOP comparing yourself to someone else’s average and compete with the only one that really matters any way..that is YOU. Decide to be a leader and make this holiday and the new year the best one ever.
