The BigWave Movement: A Different Way To Prospect & Grow Your Business

Hi All, We told you some big things were coming for 2012, so here is the first of many. Whether you are on my personal team or a awesome members of my primary company, we are getting ready to make shift to help YOU catupult your buinsess into a whole new level for 2012. I have shared part of the idea with some of you on a previous conference call I conducted, but not all of you were on the call so in this post, I want to outline exactly what we as are team are aiming to contribute to field plus what I am looking for from all of the potential participants. That means you. If you want to be part of this fresh project which I am referring to as The BigWave Movement, keep on reading.

We have many prospecting strategies and multiple tools to utilize. Things like Mueller’s Tax Brochures, Robert Kiyosaki CD’s, Garage Full of What Audios, Webinars, Sizzle Calls etc, All of these are valuable and I use as well. However when I step back and think about it, all of these tools tend to lean heavily on money, product(s) or a company profile or a detailed compensation, primarily. What several of the leaders and I have come to conclude is that 9 times out of 10 the real essence of “why” we build is overshadowed by the logic, details, numbers and sometime hype surrounding the “what” we do in our industry. So we decided to try something completely opposite. We believe it’s time to re-focus on the people. Bring it back to the fundamentals of humanity. Emphasis what matters and connects us all as teenagers, middle agers, singles, newlweds starting out, couples w kids, retirees, grand parents etc.

We agreed that the “who we are as people” and similarity of “what we truly desire” would be a refreshing introductory platform to expose our business when talking to new propects in 2012. So instead of extoling all the virtues of compensation only or logical product features solely, we create a tool that talks to them (our prospects) about about them as a them and not as a us. It would be no longer us doing this (business thing) and convincing them to do it too, but showing prospects that what we desired is the same thing they currently desire -and we found a way to acquire it. This flow would put guards down, get you out of sales mode and get people to tell you honestly if infact they are wanting to know what we know to experience what we are experiencing after watching it. The idea is resonante with them first then educate them after. So what is the project? A simple, short powerful engaging video that intruiges them to ask more info…and voila this is where you can get involved if you choose.

For those of you who would like to participate, and be play a role in this collaborative effort (The BigWave Movement) creatng a different kind of propsecting video, here’s what our tem is looking for from you:

1. Record a personal 1-3 min video answering these 4 questions below.
a) What your background culture or occupation is. b) Who you are in one or two descriptive words. c) Where you want to go in life and why?
2. Make sure you’re in a well lit or naturally lit environment. HD is prefered but not necessary.
3. Upload it to YouTube and sent to the email bigwavemovement@ gmail.com  by Feb 1st the latest (I’m extending the original time specified when I talked to several of you so this gives you more time to be thoughful)
4. Attach your permission to use this footage in our final edit and you’re done!

The essence of this project is for you to be natural, sincere and real so you’re tell someone who listens to it what matters to you as a real person. (not a network marketer) That’s what I am after so we can them find the best parts to express it in a edited polished 7-8 min final video. A video you can direct your prospects to before bomabarding their minds with info they’re not ready for. It so they can connect with others, qualify themsleves & save you time if they are not after the same things.
Again this is a completeley volunteer project and obviusly reserved only for members of Bigwave Marketing Team and of course exclusive to those active reps in our primary company.

Note: I am looking for qa min of 40-50 videos to select from. Not everyone’s video will be used so the more submitted, the better the end product will be.

Understanding The Differences Between Warm Marketing vs Target Marketing

Your warm market. Defined as your family & close friends. To many they are an intimidative and uncomfortable group of people 95% of reps dread prospecting. That is, until some other complete stranger shares their opportunity with them or worse your very same opportunity! Yikes that would be horrible, right? Think it never happens?–think again. It happens all the time and as someone who did make that error once, the pain of not sharing, prejudging and assuming cost me quite a bit, but it was a lesson well learned. So why is it so difficult for the masses the share their beloved opportunity with loved ones? Why are scores of people overlooking talking to their immediate sphere of influence to chase total strangers? It’s because we have not understood a warm market from a target market and know how to present to them. We’re going to tackle this into today ‘s blog and help you gain clarity.

Before we do let me ask you: “Have you ever been properly taught how to effectively share your business opportunity with your warm market?” and if not will you learn it this year or keep them in the dark for yet another year? Perhaps you enlisted in the network marketing witness protection program or in what I refer to as an mlm undercover sting operation for life. Seriously though, let’s stop this cycle – it’s silly and senselss. Instead for this new year let’s establish the difference between your warm market versus target market and by the end of this post you’ll see that 3 out 4 people working full time today are actually in your target market and want what you have.

A warm market group are in fact the people we know like and trust. But truth be known some of them (altough we are related to them) are not the first choie of people we want to deal with, particualry in business. Let’s face it our harshest critics can be the closest ones. This is where distinguishing a target market becomes extremely helpful. A target market group are those individuals who may or may not know but they want what we are offering and are willing to hear every detail about even up to the point of a purchase. You see it’s really not the opportunity that’s the issue, but the way in which we are offering it and who it’s being offered to. In defining the differences above can you now begin to see that warm is about familiar and closeness, but target is about benefit and need. When you get these disticntions clear, the focus of what you have shifts to who can beneift from the thing and not the thing itself. While your friends and family may in fact need the program/product you offer, you will discover more success comes easier by offering it to those who want what you have. The benefits are what they desire to either solve a problem or make a task simpler.

Target marketing also takes pressure off of the presenter and places the energy of the experience on providing a solution. If we are not solving a problem or filling a need we have an unqualified prospect or uniterested client and pressure is building. Which means we have not done our homework and both parties are not going to be relaxed in the exchange. When we force a product or service onto an unqualified buyer or non-interested warm market person a strange dynamic begins similar to that of corrosion.    I call it “relational accelerated rust” This where neither party resonates any longer, cohesion becomes friction and a potentially successful connection is broken. The equivalent is like taking a scissors to a phone line. The signal or frequency is lost.

Now that you are clearer on warm vs target, who do you want to speak to about your business? Who would you prefer to choose primarily to focus your opportunity on weekly? You got it, the target audience. To this we must afix another layer of truth: Everyone with exception to a few are our target market. Here’s is why. As network marketer and mlm opportunity promoters, we are offering 75% of society a solution to a problem they do not know and can not fix. It is called financial independance. The average person who works til age 65 will either be a) dead b) broke or c) dead broke neither of which is favorable. To compound this dismal statisitc, while 87% of employees work for someone else they a) are building that persons retirement and b) having their retirement income depeleted with a process called taxation. The higher the income bracket, the more taxes are withdrwan. Isn’t this scenario pretty bleak for those masses? Yes. But that is where we as network marketers come in. They become OUR TARGET MARKET becasue we have THEIR SOLUTION. These people want 100% want what we have. A plan b, an alternate option to give them the desired outcome. More wages, less taxes more profits and less time to a brighter financial future. How many warm market people now look like a target market? It doesn’t really matter now who they are. Anyone on the below list can be our target market.
1. Your Mother and Father
2. Your Brother(s) or Sister(s)
3. Your Neighbors
4. Your Kids’ Teachers
5. Your Co-Workers
6. Your Mail Delivery person
7. Your Insurance Agent
8. Your Child’s BabySitter
9. Your Doctor, Dentist or Lawyer
10. All of Your friends and their friends…
Why? because statistically all of these people are economically doomed to the same out come. Exchange of time for dollars, massive taxes, no legal deductions unless you offer them the thing they want.

I am hoping this mind shift has clarified the differences between warm market and target market you no longer have to dread speaking to. Which brings us back to the original question, “How do you properly share your business opportunity with our target market?”

You don’t have to…but you let this information do the qualifying. What I’m about to tell you may shock you…

It’s NOT a product, NOT a company NOT a compensation and NOT even a top leader. It’s INFORMATION. It’s the #1 thing they are undeniably and emphatically interested in, emotionally attached to and universally connected with.respective of age. THEIR MONEY. It is a fundamental fact, people do not care about you or your offer. Rather it’s all about them and a personal selfish solution they are after. 100% of all target market 9-5 workers in North America are seeking this. They are the over 300 million financially bleeding Americans and Canadians being drained by taxes in the arena called employment. It’s these mass of target propsects walking by us daily hemoragging economically yet unaware, that we can now correctly engage and present our business to.

By sharing a copy of this targetted information you can radically impact their lives and your future. Go out and look at your warm market differently than you did before. The Value & Importance of a MLM Mobile App for your Business Growth in 2012

Hey fellow reps, I am writing this post 3 nights before embarking on our 3rd FREE incentive trip paid by our awesome primary company (Numis Network) and before joining approx 180 other winners and leaders this weekend. Jan 7-13th. Suffice it to say we cannot wait.. Now while we will be spending 6 glorious days and 5 luxurious nights aboard The Jewel of The Sea having fun, eating good food (some heathy too) dancing, laughing and making lifetime memories…there are two things to note. A) It won’t be the same without you there so make sure you qualify next time but B) it won’t be all play time.

I have learned from the co-founders directly that we will be enjoying some specifically designed and scheduled team building sessions. We’ll be game planning, dream building and some of us even leadership strategizing over a few hours while we sail across the gulf on Mexico enroute back to Tampa. “Yeah, you bet I’m pumped!” Which brings me to the point of this blog today. For a while now I have been absorbed with the idea (which I can’t shake) and have zealously shared with our forward thinking owners that the need for a mobile application just cannot go unanswered or unmet. Even with the exceptional growth of our company in the past 27 plus months, the opportunity for greater growth by having a mobile app would impact greatly our business on many fronts. Increased market and product reach, speedy support and training and of course dynamic rep usage/ daily application in the field. It is my strong belief that our very own unique mobile app would explode what we are already doing in North America and UK. There would be no other mlm company pioneering graded precious metals along with a mobile app. A second first for us!

So why am I writing about this topic before my free cruise?  I plan on sharing some actual data with the owners on the ship this weekend from you the active reps building in the field.

We all know and agree that the modern trend of personal computing has revolutionized business. But what many may not know is how powerful the modern day smart phone and now newly termed, “super phones” are impacting media, business and even our network marketing industry. We can say it this way: Mobile is transforming the way people do business and adapting to this change is vital. 1.2 billion apps were downloaded during the holiday week between December 25-31.Over 85% of people get their information to their mobile devices first then to their pc After which, when they get home they proceed to jump online. Tons of users engage in mobile activities like web purchases, gaming, banking, travel  and of course let’s not forget a little trend called social media. I rest my case.

Today I am asking for 10 sec of help and for you participate in a short survey below. Maybe you are just finishing your day or starting your January work week. Is Mixing Your MLM Business and the Holiday Smart?

This is a very interesting question and one that I’m sure you are asking yourselves this holiday season. Over the past decade I have been asked it often and also asked myself the same many times over. So I will attempt to provide a perspective that addresses both sides of this potentially divisive topic. Again this is only my perspective and experience over my time in the industry and in no way do you have to see exactly as I do. I have just never written  a blog post about it before.

Before addressing the issues, let me say this. There are TWO kinds of people are asking this question right now. One that doesn’t want to do business and one that does.There are those of us completely adamant about not doing business over the holidays and then there are those who may (after the festivities end) actually wouldn’t mind being productive. So which is it? Is being in holiday mode and productive a mutually exclusive idea? After all retail sector shuts down for an entire day but are right back full swing the next. Well the simple answer is either can be right  IF the situation dictates. As I reflect on data collected through the years I have come to the conclude: While it is permissible to engage in moderate business activity, it is wise to abstain from all forms of business as well. But how can both be okay? I’ll explain.
by presenting two separate scenarios and fleshing out the circumstances that would make each alright to do.. I’ll try to be as objective and unbiased as possible.

Take for instance a person who is building a network marketing business for their family and this is the driving force behind their why. This individual will think it to be a utterly wrong to not be present (focused) with family at this time of year.. Not only because this time is to be cherished but also because it’s limited. For this person bringing up or speaking about business is just not an option. It can even offend the rep’s family members and create a full blow negatively charged environment. For this person business at Christmas or the holidays does not work. I would agree and honor that position. If you know someone like that please refrain from booking an appointment, calling to dialogue or booking any business-related events. Learning this fine art of etiquette and appropriateness can serve you as a smart upline leader extremely well so that you can make a proper impression when the time for your opportunity to be discussed.

Now for completely opposite scenarios. A) Take a rep who is also building for their family and motivated deeply by this fact, that are asked to share or update a family member on how  their business is doing. That rep may infact take an opportunity to share briefly about the positive impact their business and it’s experiences has produced through the year. This indeed is acceptable. If someone asks then a simple response should be given. There is no harm in that. What becomes an issue is how much is shared and how the information is shared. Meaning in what forum or setting. Clearly at dinner is neither the time or place to spring a detailed  presentation on your family whether they may be interested. Doing that would be a sure fire way to turn off loved ones and put yourself in the “dog house” permanently and for all future family events. B) The only other scenario where conducting business is approved is where extended period of time has been blocked and is available. In some cases clients and prospects have specifically asked each other to call for that purpose. Further people being off work for weeks can prove mutually beneficial and set the stage for a productive new year for both parties.

C) There is still a rare exception which I will underscore here. It can and does work ONLY if the rep is hosting a specific social event with the pre-advertised and known intention of sharing about their business to the invited.. The key here is that you do not take anyone (friend or family) members by tactical surprise. Why? Because you never want to ambush anyone with what you do at anytime of year much more at the holidays. This is just bad etiquette -period. So if you plan a holiday social or festive party with the “known” intention you or someone will be sharing ie. products, testimonials. or in our case time-sensitive tax saving info and you promote and invite accordingly then this type of forum is feasible. It  may very well be conducive to a successful business-oriented event.

As you can see by comparing the different type of reps and factors, one can either mix business successfully or completely omit it from your holiday festivities altogether. It is important to note that whatever direction you choose, you will have completely unique results. None of which are wrong – only different.

Final thought: Do I want you to enjoy the season? Absolutely Do I want you to spend time with family? You bet. BUT If you plan on taking off a few days or even an entire week, ensure you do not contract mlm business amnesia. (MBA) Statistics do show a high 60% reps will lose complete momentum and some will even fizzle away. They plan to stay focused but life knocks them out. I believe if you’re reading this, that is most certainly not you. Be wise, be smart and don’t let all you’ve learned, your hard effort staying consistent over 2011 be in vain. It’s by observing the masses of reps who take a  mental vacation never returning until spring AND doing the opposite of them, you’ll actual catapult you ahead of the herd.

So to borrow from that famous quote ,” to do business over the holidays or not to do business over the holidays, that is the question? It’s question that only you can answer and a wise decision only you can make considering the scenarios I mentioned above. 3 Keys to a Better Invite and How To Increase Attendance at Meetings & PBRS

Many reps are having great success but some aren’t . Have you noticed? Many committed reps are doing alot of work but not seeing the maximum results. One of the examples where we see this time and time again is in the area of invitations to prospects for them to come and see the business presentation. Particularly at hotel and home meetings ie. PBR’s. Now before I proceed let me preface this post by saying: The single most  effective/profitable strategy we as a couple and national team have ever implemented and employed are PBR’s We absolutely would not change or replace this with anything. We’ve added more volume, enrolled more reps and rank advanced 50%-60% more ICR’s in the past 10 months than with any other business building methodology. However  with a few of you not seeing these results yet, I decided to devote this blog to assisting those of you struggling with limited attendance and no-shows with 3 powerful tips to improve your inviting skills. Bottom line: We want you have more prospects actually show up.  If you think you could benefit from that, then keep on reading.

The first thing to establish is in life we all invite people to things all the time, everyday. To sporting events, religious events, casual socials, family visits and even work-related meetings. So what is the difference. It is posture. Posture is not what we say but rather how we say it. It’s not just the words coming out of our mouth but the conviction of those words. While this is another huge topic which I will cover in an upcoming post, the important thing is to sound confident and self-assured whenever you are talking to anyone about your business. If you beg, prod, convince or drag people to see your business presentation, you’ll turn them off and the only one attending will be you and the gold fish. But if you learn the art of saying less and building value in your invitation. aka THE OFFER, this will be the beginning of a better personal show rate. The second thing is to separate explaining what THEY WILL GET from the actual INVITATION itself. So here are 3 things I say quickly to build curiosity, interest and value before I actually invite them to my meetings and PBR’s. Ready?

1) I let them know: (If they have a J-O-B) you’ll learn how to instantly, legally and ethically save your hard earned money in the form of tax dollars you are current losing bi-weekly on your pay check. This is explained by clicking HERE

2) I let them know we’ll reveal the main secret of how the wealthy through the centuries have created their own fortunes regardless of economic conditions AND how they can tap into the #1 wealth trend of the planet’s richest people.

3) Finally I let them know they will understand how to create something called “residual income” which is money they can earn over and over again even when they aren’t working.

Once I have shared THE VALUE, the real magic happens when this question is posed. “Is any of that something you would want to learn?” I even ask if they know anyone else who could benefit from that information. So you see what I have done here is position the value separate to the invitation. What I have not done is beg, prod, beat and convince. Instead I let the information I know they want  and need do the convincing. And if they do not want that knowledge then they have also assisted me in qualifying where I should better spend my time and intimately disqualify themselves from success. I save my self time  by not putting them into my calendar or wasting emotional energy not expecting to show up.

The final point is critical as many reps make this fatal error: Do not do to the prospect what the session is designed for them. Meaning if at the presentation they will learn all three points we have discussed, do not attempt to show them your website, explain the product and breakdown the compensation all in 5 minutes. You’ll surely confuse them and  they will avoid you like the plague. Instead just build value and get them to agree that this is what they want to learn. Then tell them where and when they can receive it which is your address or hotel address of the meeting. Inviting correctly instead of explaining will increase your show rate and overall success.

A “Starbucks Meet-up” Strategy For Building Network Marketing In Your Local Area?

Can your local coffee house franchise actually assist you in growing your network marketing business. Can it be a springboard to major momentum? Can Starbucks help you become a star and make more bucks?  Yes it can.

It helped me and if done correctly can can help you do the same as well.

In this post I’m going to share the simply and effective strategy I used less than 90 days a go to not only reach out to my local community but how I also grew my primary opportyunity into a thriving city-based hotel meeting.

Let’s face it, everyone has a local market that they would so love to dominate. If you reside in a population  base that has several hundred to several million and no one in your respective company has targeted or capitalized on it, then the good news is the leader of that local market is none other than you. Yesm you heard me. It’s the person staring back at you in the mirror.

While most people are waiting for a leader to emerge in your town, city, sate or province before they take action or begin their network marketing quest. The obvious truth is that you are the one and there is no competition if you do what I’m going to sahre with you in the next few lines.

1. Created a short 1-2min video calling all local reps in my primary company to come and attend a fun casual meet-up  that will help these reps to connect with other local reps.

2. Post this video on all your video sharing, blogs and social media sites. Do this approx 8-10 days out to give attendees time to RSVP and book it in their calendars.

3. Create a  specific event that connects the video to that day, afternoon or evening event. ie facebook

4. As people respond, reach out to them in a real sincere way asking them what their biggest challenges or frustrations with their company is and ensure you confirm their attendance and the directions to the venue.

5. Book the venue and prepare the area for your casual meet-up ahead of time. ie chairs, tables etc. I chose Sbux because it is a more affluent type of coffee house tending to attract more upper-middle class traffic

6. Make sure you have the right attitude so that whether 2 or 22 show up, you’ll be there ready to connect with these reps and new prospects and that you will 2-3weeks later have another offline meet-up.

* [The real secret to this strategy is that it must be done consistently. One time is not enough]

At the meet-up the objective for you to facilitate a casual and comfortable exchange (over coffee) lol so you can get to know the local network marketing reps in your immediate region. To connect with local entrepreneurs from your city is the the purpose. Be relaxed, get to know everyone and have fun.

Don’t be pushy, salesy or come across anxious or needy. You’re not there to recruit. Just to connect. Instead ask information-gathering questions about all in attendance.  Write down names, numbers  & emails before the meeting ends. If you follow this format of  casual coffee shop format, I can assure you will have people come out to meet you the leader of this event. Don’t commiserate over those who do not show up. If you take interest in those who have shown up, they will almost always 99.9% ask you the question you’re waiting for which is. “What do you do?” or “can you tell me about your company?” This is not the point to drool, salivate or puke on your new friends. You can give a hand out or mention briefly some key info and/or book another specific time to re-connect to discuss your opportunity in detail.

The list of names, numbers and emails is now your master list to reference for follow-up and the next future meet-up. I think you’re now getting the concept of how a casual meet-up can bring local networkers to you!

Celebrating Leadership Duplication in Network Marketing!

Mon Oct 18th at 8pm was not only a other great gold & silver presentation about Numis Network, not just another night of 90% sign-ups but the inaugural Numis Business Hotel Meeting hosted by top ranked Canadian 4 Ldrs Stars Olu & Roslyn Ogunniyi. This couple is putting a team together right!

What is even more awesome is how we met or should I say re-connected. You see you just never know where your biggest players and leaders in the industry will come from. Life is truly full of blessings and surprises. Following a hunch to seek your truly out for a emcee function, Roslyn managed to track me me on facebook. I was honored to be able to emcee Olu’s 40th on an amazing boat cruise, but that was just the beginning of a fantastic journey that has brought us all to this point.

Olu & Roslyn have seemingly come out of nowhere and hit the ground running and have had phenomenal success. Why? Because they are special? NO! It’s because they were hungry. Hungry for real results in their lives and hungry for success in the network marketing model that they knew existed, but just hadn’t found. Today they have found it; the right product, the right partners, the right pay plan and the right leaders. Today Ros & Olu having discovered Numis Network, the worlds’ first and only mlm marketing gold and silver, as they say “the rest was history”

We celebrated with them last week as they launched their own meetings in their own city. It was a rewarding event to watch take place. And so now we are thrilled to watch them bring on other great leaders who we believe will not only lead like they are leading but break their records even faster.

Grand Checks, Grand Trips, Grand Duplication!

This was day #1 of a 7 night western Caribbean cruise we took in August 2010 after a 2 day business trip for leaders in our network marketing company. Our first port-of-call was Grand Cayman, and as we sailed, across North America and Canada we had “grand duplication” taking place in our network marketing business. What a concept of making money while sailing from island to island on the open seas.

We were away a total of 11 days on the open seas… enjoying nothing but sun, sea and salt. Without any real business schedule, we ate everything in sight, slept in til we were done, danced the nights away in exotic ports, and limbo-ed into the sunset. The best part though was returning home amazingly not to bills, but four awesome commission checks that blew us away. I turned to my wife and said, ‘we need to take more trips!”

Is it possible? Yes. Can anyone do it? Absolutely! Will we teach and show you how? You bet!!

You see the real point of even building a network marketing business is the ability to have both time & income in perfect harmony. The choice to control your own schedule any day of the year. to be able to go do what you want when you want with whom you want. The word is called freedom. It’s a far-fetched concept for some lol and a foreign concept for those still tied down by their pagers and hand cuffed to the cell phones. Even highly ambitious  leaders in our industry who don’t train others to lead will only have a big “network marketing” job.  A job being the only secret guru or magic component  in their opportunities and thus they can’t get away from the grind of being a personal recruiting machine. Sound familiar? If they are always there, their business continues to boom but if not the production ceases.

So what’s the solution: DUPLICATION!

You must build others, develop teams and duplicate yourself in your current business opportunity. Simply build a business on helping others get what they want. Make the focus in duplicating teams and leaders the goal. Back those leaders up by other teams and leaders, then watch the world of possibilities open up for new found freedom. The sky will become the limit to the level of control YOU have over your calendar and schedule will amaze you. Travel frequently and with your families  and come back home to a mailbox filled with checks! Now wouldn’t that be cool?

You ready to live life on your terms? If so, this is just the beginning and we look forward to sailing and traveling the world with whoever wants to come with us..
