Why J. Paul Getty Was So Right!!

J. Paul Getty who made his billions in oil during the great depression once said…“I’d rather have 1 percent of 100 people’s efforts than 100 percent of my own.”

How tremendously profound & applicable his statement still almost eighty years later.

If there’s one key element we can all agree that will make the difference in the long-term profit, stability and success of your online or offline business, it’s one word — duplication. You see in network marketing, you can do it right and you can do it wrong.

Most get busy but never get productive.

Why?
Because if they want it done right they do it themselves. This axiom may be in fact be true in traditional business or self-employment but in mlm or network marketing, that is a formula for failure.

If you are to become successful and free in network marketing you must DUPLICATE.

Many people work hard but not smart. While hard work is admirable, smart work is more effective. Duplication allows you to get greater results with less effort while creating exponential growth for an entire organization instead of just a select few.

There are many people in the network marketing industry that are good, however he challenge is they never find or develop others be good, too! lol They are the king pin (as they say) doing all the meetings and thus all the work. That sounds funny I’m sure, but the reality is this.. If you never develop or train others to get to where you are at OR have others be able to do what you do and get the results you get, all you’ll have is a network marketing job. And Who wants that?

Listen by doing all the work constantly by yourself, you will only end up frustrated, and by yourself. Learn to start training other leaders and DUPLICATE your efforts. This will EXPLODE your results.  After all two things we all want to produce at the end of the day  is …TIME & MONEY which is FREEDOM.

So let me ask you, “Are you duplicating yourself? Are you training others to be as good or if not better than you? Are you seeking those leaders who want a large thriving and international business? Are you seeing yourself with 50 leaders like you backed up by 50 like you?

In closing remember the quote from J. Paul Ghetty,  I stared out this blog post with.  He said “I’d rather have 1 percent of 100 people’s efforts than 100 percent of my own.”

“I just can’t lose with leaders like these!”

Yes this statement is the title of my recent blog post. Why? Because it is exactly how I feel. And I wanted you to think about whether you have leaders like these in your business or primary company?

In ten plus years of building teams and developing a networking business model, I’ve seen alot things happen. Some great & some not so great. I’ve heard alot of promises made and seen may of them go unkept.

Many have promised support and unwavering assistance only to come up short on integrity and accountability. But what I have found in my current primary company is nothing but the complete opposite. I have been amazed with the level and quality of support that has been extended to me and  my team.

Last week Saturday I conducted this high voltage interview with Norbert Orlerwicz. It was after he concluded a 1-day marketing workshop up in my city of Toronto, Canada.

Just enrolling a rep is the start. There are other fundamental things we must do to set them up for success. If we fail to show that rep success and grow their skills, then we have failed that rep. So here is an extremely crucial task to help them in becoming productive. We as leaders should be assisting them in identifying their core competency.

The specific skills that they are good at and the one(s) that produces the best results for them.

Why? Fact:The average mlm rep will only last for 90 days unless they are seeing results and making money. Therefore we have 67 days to get a commission check in the hands of our new rep or else they may be there in body BUT they’ll be gone mentally. Matching the right strategy to the right rep is an invaluable secret many sponsors fail to do and this costs them dearly, Not to mention it can cost the their faith in the business and ultimately their dream.

There a re many strategies & methods. Some of them are social media, word of mouth, flyers, card marketing, drop cards, back page, solo ads, 1 on 1 presentations, pay-per-click and viral marketing to name a few. Which is the best?
It all depends on the individual and as a leader, your job is to find the strategy that best resonates with your team members.

Recently I had to make a rather tough decision. One that any leader if put in the same position inside this industry would also have also made. It was to relinquish ties and disassociate myself with “so called leaders” that in my estimation completely lacked professionalism and were utterly void of integrity and leadership.

You see without leadership, it really doesn’t matter if the product being sold works wonders or even if the company is the best thing since sliced bread. Why? Because of the same principle of Attraction Marketing holds true…“People only do business with other People” not companies AND they will only work long-term with those they KNOW, LIKE and TRUST.”

I won’t get into details here in this blog on every aspect of what brought me to my tipping point, but what I will do is allow you to watch a video I made about how utterly essential it is to possess strong leadership traits. Instead of getting bitter, I decided to get better and make you better with the morale of my story.
