Back From Our FREE Mexico Cruise w Company Leaders & Memories Galore

Eva and I just got back a few days from being aboard Royal Caribbean’s luxurious Jewel of the Seas for 6 days. We were there with approx 206 business partners in our network marketing company Numis Network and boy oh boy  it was a experience that will go down in the history books for years to come. I knew it was going to loads of fun, laughter, good times and memories but it was even better than I had anticipated. Another reason you just cannot afford to miss any future trips. Here in this blog post that has been several days overdue I will highlight some memorable moments as best I can to give you a taste of the week long party! But before I do,  just what is a memory and why is it so essential?

A memory is a moment. A memory tells a story. A memory is deeply personal. It is your experience. It’s one that you and you alone keep and treasure for lifetime which no person can ever take from you. It’s also waterproof, fire-proof and damage-proof so no matter what anyone else says or thinks, it stays secure in your possession forever. And just why is this so vital as you build your business? Well, because these memories you create will shape you and your future. This is exactly what a week aboard Jewel of The Seas on the on The Gulf of Mexico having a blast with 200 plus friends was all about for those who attended.

Here’s a list of just some of the fun-filled and dynamic events we enjoyed. On our first evening we had a meet & greet reception for all the cruise winners on Sat night as we pulled away from Tampa. Over chilled champagne we all of us got together and celebrated each other for doing what it took to earn the trip. We also congratulated several special people on their new wedding engagements and wedding anniversaries. Many that were long overdue. What a special way to celebrate that right? The next morning we assembled casually and were impacted by a powerful training to equip us to become better business builders and leaders. VP of our companies’ marketing dept, Matt DiMaio empowered us all with how to create a better memory and powerful mind. WOW!! After dinner where we feasted on some amazing gourmet dishes and after some returned to the casino to try and win some more money, others went to boogy and dance up a storm in the night club. Others found bliss winding down the night with a nice romantic walk hand in hand with their loved one on the top deck of our 130,000 ton cruise liner under the stars of the night sky.

The next couple days were spent at port relaxing, reminiscing and recharging. Personally we drove out to a beautiful beach resort called Paradise Island in Cozumel and the next day we headed to Tequila Beach in Puerto Costa Maya. Both days we just lay back and soaked up the sun, built friendships, dreamed bigger while having amazing conversations in the tropical ocean air. Some reps got ocean side massages for hours, others paddle boated with their kids while others kayaked to cool off. But what we all did and was something I was truly was excited to see the group participate in was actually for me the #1 highlight of the entire week.What was it you ask? Personal testimonial videos. Almost everyone who won the trip recorded their own heart felt testimonial video. I had never seen this happen before as a company.We had our very own company camera crew capture in the word of the qualifiers the true essence of what this business means to us all. We all shared live on camera (on the ship & at the beaches) just what the lifestyle experience of being part of the is this company/team of leaders was doing in our lives and for our families. Can I tell ya, I just cannot wait for you to see them once they are edited and uploaded on our new website coming soon.

Now why would I say that testimonial videos were a highlight above snorkeling, winning money in the casino, sunbathing or even indulging in amazing cuisine nightly. Simple because for the first time I witnessed people actually beginning to grasp and understand the real value of what our amazing network marketing business Numis is truly all about. It’s always been people and not just products. Amazingly enough unless asked about it,  the common point all our reps talked about was the priceless relationships we made far out weighing the value the gold & silver we love to collect.

The final sea day as we headed back to Tampa, we concluded our team building session inside the theatre of the ship where we talked abut a fundamental topic that honestly just doesn’t get enough air time. The Dream. All I can say is that there were a lot of motivated, insired and enthused reps after hearing the co-founders, Dave Lovett, Ray Higdon and yours Erwin Mcken build their dream. I felt a tide turn, our ship take a new course as now more than ever before reps verbalized how ready they were to hit the ground running in 2012 to make their dreams a reality.

This incentive trip was tons of fun, tons of laughter and a lot of sheer craziness, just ask anyone who won it, but for me and many of our 35 attendees from our BigWave team – it was an epic memory and a shift to the real reason we are building network marketing in the first place. What To Do Before, During & After a Company Incentive Trip You Win.

Congratulations you won  & now you’re on your way! :) Where? to your comany’s incentive trip that’s where.You see that’s exactly where Eva, myself and many other leaders are heading with Numis Network for a week long cuise. And perhaps by the time you read this we’ll already be sailing out to sea but know that we want you with us on the next one for sure.

But Wait!
“What should I do before, during and after an amazing incentive trip” This is a very important question I will addess in this blog because there tons of benefit provided you plan and prepare accordingly. I’ll also give those who may not be or can not attend this one some very valuable instructions on what to do while so many company leaders are away.

First off know that winning your company trip means you earned it -so be proud of yourself. Enjoy this reward with a grateful frame of mind knowing you deserve this special time with fellow reps and leaders. Here’s a quick list of things to do before you embark (because you still are a smart and thoughtful network marketing leader right?)

BEFORE THE TRIP
1. Set you intention of what you want out of the trip because what you expect is exactly what you’ll get from it. Don’t be overly detail focused – go with the flow…we are on the water for 6 days!
2. Plan your calendar for your return as you’ll certainly be fired upon your return to get back working your business hard.
3. Notify your reps and team members of your return date. Don’t assume they know when you’ll be returning. You can also notify them if you can or cannot be reached while away.
4. Provide alternative leaders contact info for things like 3-way calls, presentations, conference calls or follow-ups in your abscence.
5. (Optional) Create a incentive contest for those not attending the trip.
6. Don’t miss the boat!! Double check your watch and don’t forget your passport LOL

DURING THE TRIP
1. Be Thankful. More blessed that the trip is your attitiude of gratitude of where this business journey is taking you.
2. Have Fun. If you’re traveling with your spouse or family, make sure you spend ample time focused on them, having fun, and simply relaxing with those who mean the most. After all, they are the reason you are building the business and they encouraged you to achieve this milestone.
3. Create Memories. Plan to do something that you can capture on photos or film to bring back with you after the vacation is over. This way you can remember the feeling and use it for inspiration to do it again in the future. (THIS IS HUGE)
4. Connect with People. Both fellow reps and company leaders will be available throughout the trip to share with, connect to and learn from. Don’t be afraid to mingle.
5. Network Correctly. Let your lifestyle and the fact you won this cruise be a subtle conversation ice breaker in conversation. If the opportunity to share it with others come up. Don’t brag just converse. Don’t pitch, just exchange.
6. Get Inspired. For some of you this is a first and you’ve never ever won a company trip. So capture the feeling of inspiration in this experience and never forget it. Record videos with reps and leaders and take tons of photos. You’ll be sharing this priceless emotion of the event with your team and others in the future.
7. Represent Well. Always look, speak and carry yourself in the most polite, decent and respectable way. You don’t have a second chance to make the best first impression of what our company is and who you are. Be first class.

AFTER THE TRIP:
1. You’ll defintely want to get with your team especially those reps who have been working diligently while you have been gone. Reward them accordingly if you set up an incentive.
2. Host a Conference Call or Team Meeting. This will give you a special time to recap highlights and share what you gained wit the team so they can look forwrd to on their future incentive trips. (VERY KEY)
3. Get Back To Work. Do what leaders do upon their return. Start booking your calendars and start doing the same things you did that got you to win so next time you can have double and triple the winners for the next company trip.
4. Thank your Company owners for the trip and for making lifestyle and travel rewards part of the company’s great compensation.

Advice: (For those of you not attending) Realize that in many cases you’ll  be the only top leader /#1 rep in your state, city or province. So while many leaders are travelling  use this opportunity to your advantage. Don’t  snooze because so many of us are indisposed. Like I always say observe the masses and do the opposite. Some of you who take this advice will make your move and create masive momentum and quite possible even pass other reps who take a mental vacation. Be smart. Plus remember the leaders on the cruise will want to get back and prioritize their time first with those who were the most productive.

These are just some of the key things I have done in the past before, during and after many company trips I have ejoyed. Is Mixing Your MLM Business and the Holiday Smart?

This is a very interesting question and one that I’m sure you are asking yourselves this holiday season. Over the past decade I have been asked it often and also asked myself the same many times over. So I will attempt to provide a perspective that addresses both sides of this potentially divisive topic. Again this is only my perspective and experience over my time in the industry and in no way do you have to see exactly as I do. I have just never written  a blog post about it before.

Before addressing the issues, let me say this. There are TWO kinds of people are asking this question right now. One that doesn’t want to do business and one that does.There are those of us completely adamant about not doing business over the holidays and then there are those who may (after the festivities end) actually wouldn’t mind being productive. So which is it? Is being in holiday mode and productive a mutually exclusive idea? After all retail sector shuts down for an entire day but are right back full swing the next. Well the simple answer is either can be right  IF the situation dictates. As I reflect on data collected through the years I have come to the conclude: While it is permissible to engage in moderate business activity, it is wise to abstain from all forms of business as well. But how can both be okay? I’ll explain.
by presenting two separate scenarios and fleshing out the circumstances that would make each alright to do.. I’ll try to be as objective and unbiased as possible.

Take for instance a person who is building a network marketing business for their family and this is the driving force behind their why. This individual will think it to be a utterly wrong to not be present (focused) with family at this time of year.. Not only because this time is to be cherished but also because it’s limited. For this person bringing up or speaking about business is just not an option. It can even offend the rep’s family members and create a full blow negatively charged environment. For this person business at Christmas or the holidays does not work. I would agree and honor that position. If you know someone like that please refrain from booking an appointment, calling to dialogue or booking any business-related events. Learning this fine art of etiquette and appropriateness can serve you as a smart upline leader extremely well so that you can make a proper impression when the time for your opportunity to be discussed.

Now for completely opposite scenarios. A) Take a rep who is also building for their family and motivated deeply by this fact, that are asked to share or update a family member on how  their business is doing. That rep may infact take an opportunity to share briefly about the positive impact their business and it’s experiences has produced through the year. This indeed is acceptable. If someone asks then a simple response should be given. There is no harm in that. What becomes an issue is how much is shared and how the information is shared. Meaning in what forum or setting. Clearly at dinner is neither the time or place to spring a detailed  presentation on your family whether they may be interested. Doing that would be a sure fire way to turn off loved ones and put yourself in the “dog house” permanently and for all future family events. B) The only other scenario where conducting business is approved is where extended period of time has been blocked and is available. In some cases clients and prospects have specifically asked each other to call for that purpose. Further people being off work for weeks can prove mutually beneficial and set the stage for a productive new year for both parties.

C) There is still a rare exception which I will underscore here. It can and does work ONLY if the rep is hosting a specific social event with the pre-advertised and known intention of sharing about their business to the invited.. The key here is that you do not take anyone (friend or family) members by tactical surprise. Why? Because you never want to ambush anyone with what you do at anytime of year much more at the holidays. This is just bad etiquette -period. So if you plan a holiday social or festive party with the “known” intention you or someone will be sharing ie. products, testimonials. or in our case time-sensitive tax saving info and you promote and invite accordingly then this type of forum is feasible. It  may very well be conducive to a successful business-oriented event.

As you can see by comparing the different type of reps and factors, one can either mix business successfully or completely omit it from your holiday festivities altogether. It is important to note that whatever direction you choose, you will have completely unique results. None of which are wrong – only different.

Final thought: Do I want you to enjoy the season? Absolutely Do I want you to spend time with family? You bet. BUT If you plan on taking off a few days or even an entire week, ensure you do not contract mlm business amnesia. (MBA) Statistics do show a high 60% reps will lose complete momentum and some will even fizzle away. They plan to stay focused but life knocks them out. I believe if you’re reading this, that is most certainly not you. Be wise, be smart and don’t let all you’ve learned, your hard effort staying consistent over 2011 be in vain. It’s by observing the masses of reps who take a  mental vacation never returning until spring AND doing the opposite of them, you’ll actual catapult you ahead of the herd.

So to borrow from that famous quote ,” to do business over the holidays or not to do business over the holidays, that is the question? It’s question that only you can answer and a wise decision only you can make considering the scenarios I mentioned above. Don’t Let Time Run Out For Maximizing Your 2011 Deductions?

Here’s one of my favorite topics and exposure methodologies when it comes to presenting our business (Numis) to prospects. Not only is this a great incentive to get people listening up and paying very close attention, it creates great RETENTION after they enroll, Reason? Because once a new rep starts realizing they have been losing out for years on what they could have been getting and now they are gaining, they simply won’t ever go back to losing situation again. You who are active and know this information I’m sure agree with this 100%

The simple concept is this: Saving Tax Dollars legally, speedily & ethically. All with the governments permission. Who do you think could benefit from that? Simply ask people around you. “Are you in a position to keep more of you hard earned money or better save 30-40% of the tax dollars currently leaving your pay check?” I’m sure you can guess how they’ll respond. And with some new updates on what IRS & Congress particularly in the USA for American business owners, there have up until Dec 31st by midnight (11:59 pm EST) to even greater incentive to start a business or home based business.

3 Keys to a Better Invite and How To Increase Attendance at Meetings & PBRS

Many reps are having great success but some aren’t . Have you noticed? Many committed reps are doing alot of work but not seeing the maximum results. One of the examples where we see this time and time again is in the area of invitations to prospects for them to come and see the business presentation. Particularly at hotel and home meetings ie. PBR’s. Now before I proceed let me preface this post by saying: The single most  effective/profitable strategy we as a couple and national team have ever implemented and employed are PBR’s We absolutely would not change or replace this with anything. We’ve added more volume, enrolled more reps and rank advanced 50%-60% more ICR’s in the past 10 months than with any other business building methodology. However  with a few of you not seeing these results yet, I decided to devote this blog to assisting those of you struggling with limited attendance and no-shows with 3 powerful tips to improve your inviting skills. Bottom line: We want you have more prospects actually show up.  If you think you could benefit from that, then keep on reading.

The first thing to establish is in life we all invite people to things all the time, everyday. To sporting events, religious events, casual socials, family visits and even work-related meetings. So what is the difference. It is posture. Posture is not what we say but rather how we say it. It’s not just the words coming out of our mouth but the conviction of those words. While this is another huge topic which I will cover in an upcoming post, the important thing is to sound confident and self-assured whenever you are talking to anyone about your business. If you beg, prod, convince or drag people to see your business presentation, you’ll turn them off and the only one attending will be you and the gold fish. But if you learn the art of saying less and building value in your invitation. aka THE OFFER, this will be the beginning of a better personal show rate. The second thing is to separate explaining what THEY WILL GET from the actual INVITATION itself. So here are 3 things I say quickly to build curiosity, interest and value before I actually invite them to my meetings and PBR’s. Ready?

1) I let them know: (If they have a J-O-B) you’ll learn how to instantly, legally and ethically save your hard earned money in the form of tax dollars you are current losing bi-weekly on your pay check. This is explained by clicking HERE

2) I let them know we’ll reveal the main secret of how the wealthy through the centuries have created their own fortunes regardless of economic conditions AND how they can tap into the #1 wealth trend of the planet’s richest people.

3) Finally I let them know they will understand how to create something called “residual income” which is money they can earn over and over again even when they aren’t working.

Once I have shared THE VALUE, the real magic happens when this question is posed. “Is any of that something you would want to learn?” I even ask if they know anyone else who could benefit from that information. So you see what I have done here is position the value separate to the invitation. What I have not done is beg, prod, beat and convince. Instead I let the information I know they want  and need do the convincing. And if they do not want that knowledge then they have also assisted me in qualifying where I should better spend my time and intimately disqualify themselves from success. I save my self time  by not putting them into my calendar or wasting emotional energy not expecting to show up.

The final point is critical as many reps make this fatal error: Do not do to the prospect what the session is designed for them. Meaning if at the presentation they will learn all three points we have discussed, do not attempt to show them your website, explain the product and breakdown the compensation all in 5 minutes. You’ll surely confuse them and  they will avoid you like the plague. Instead just build value and get them to agree that this is what they want to learn. Then tell them where and when they can receive it which is your address or hotel address of the meeting. Inviting correctly instead of explaining will increase your show rate and overall success.

We had a sensational time the other night in our condo party room. Many of our local Toronto Numis reps got together to celebrate the season as a team. The night was filled with good food, good laughs, great reflections of 2011, visions for 2012 and a wonderful surprise from we were not expecting.

Eva and I were simply delighted to have our reps show up. Highlights of Toronto Super Saturday with Numis Co-founder

This week we had Super Saturday 6 LIVE in Toronto with the amazing Jake Kevorkian. Jake flew in on Thursday evening and spent the evening with Eva and I casting an even greater vision for where Numis is going next year 2012.

On Friday several of our team’s leaders shared a wonderful Thai dinner with Jake as we celebrated their commitment to lead and continually change lives into 2012 with this amazing company. It was truly an impact filled session and one that will be remembered for a long time. We had reps from as far as Ottawa drive in for the day which was a minimum 5 hour drive.  We saw the best in training and leadership covering topics such as: Why the team makes the difference, facing your fears, why social media can keep you connected and also learning how to book your calendar for exponential growth! We laughed we cried,we learned and we saw even more leadership emerge during this very session and that blew me away. Jake closed out the day with a new dynamic training outlining 10 Truths of Network Marketing Success. All I can say is look for this powerful training at at upcoming Numis University. Most of all during Super Saturday Toronto we committed as a BigWave Team to go out in the remainder of 2011, through the holidays and share the best gift of all -the gift of freedom..
